I think any money like that should be spent on a forward or an attacking midfield player and it would be madness to spend such an amount on a defender. It will be interesting to see how many other shit boards back their managers with 10m to go with 15m last summer as well. So you ARE Freddy then That's the mentality that has left us with Carr and Babayaro as first teamers. Why is it silly to spend that kind of money on a defender? because we need forwards more, or quality forwards more. And quality forwards cost more than quality defenders. Simple. Or should I say, simpleton. Anyway I thought you were against spending big money on "trophy" players ? Is this another of your "yeh but no but" statement similar to those you made about interfering with managers ? We don't need to splash out big on a striker yet IMO, we could get someone in who will do an adequate job till the summer fairly cheap then we have Owen back (and Shola but lets not get into that). Fact is we don't have adequate full backs and they should be priority! Funnily enough, its that simple.

If we could get Baines for £4-5m then yes, its probably worth it. Unfortunately they'll want about £7-8m and he's simply not worth that kind of cash, when we need bodies just as much as we need quality.
-
With this. We need to look elsewhere for the leftbacks, although both Baines & Bridge would be my 1st choice but there is little to no chance either will move now. I think we should look in the German leagues, they seem to produce a good standard of fullbacks.

You actually know fuk all about football. You must be a mackem WUM tbh.

Amdy Faye booed off by his own fans according to SSN's

Just glad he's stopped going on like a fanny tbh. The goals are a repaying me though, all is forgiven.

Bit harsh on the lad considering there's fuk all ever to aim for. Martins is usually in a shit position, and Sibby arrives four days later. If he ran to the line, then waited for those two to get in the box he'd have been tackled several times over. He should maybe start cutting inside and learning how to shoot, thought he was part striker when he joined? Aye, Sibi is slow - but he gets about the box and knows where to receive a ball. All of his goals have come from crosses. Agree about Martins, his positional sense inside the box is non-existant. But Milner's final ball is shit, simple as really. He's 20 years old, ffs. I doubt Nobby's crosses were world class at that age, either. Not saying he won't improve. Of course he will - he's great talent. This season though, his final ball's been shit. Don't really see how anyone can argue with that. :? If we had a target-man Milner would be assisting a hell of a lot more I'd disagree with that aswell... most of Milner's crosses are just drilled into the first or second man. Because he's generally had to stand about for 2mins while the rest of the team catch up, defender isnt caught on the hop. Needs to be quick onto the fullback, a more talented winger would then take him on, but he's not got that bit sussed either. That aside, his crossing isn't as bad as people make out, its getting better each game, and i hope it continues.

we should have more chance than Juve tbh Nah. Juve probably still hold the same high regard as they did beforehand. They're temporarily in a division below, a division which they are rightfully absolutely dominating. Unbeaten in 15 - 11 games won. 6 goals conceded - praise Jean-Alain. Good, fee rises more games and promotion, we should see £5.5m back very soon. We have £3.25m at the moment, the extra £2.25m coming from promotion and 30 league games IIRC.

If we had a target-man Milner would be assisting a hell of a lot more, most of Martins play is through the middle, Sibby picks up scraps and occasionally musters enough steam to get in the box, and Milner has found him a couple of times, but generally my point stands, Milner arrives way too quick when going down the wing for what we currently have upfront. But yes, its heads down, hit and hope, but he's looking up more and more. Before he went to Villa, he couldn't take on a fellow winger, now he can skip past pretty much anyone a few times per game, certainly a huge improvement. Bit by bit he's getting there, i expect him to crack crossing this season, then we need to get him cutting inside and shooting, if he could do all of that by 22, he'd be fantastic asset.

Right well Fat Fred said he'd fuk off once we'd won a trophy, so if he accepts it, i'll accept it. Now kindly sell up.

They should go for both imo. (Tevez) Take the pair, it didn't work, West Ham make 10%, move on. Let them take the rest of the season to play and settle in Italy ready for Serie A next season. If they settle, i think they'd be shit hot for Juve in years to come.

Them jumping in was stupid aswell. They are 17, teens do daft things without thinking, footballers especially. Coaching staff should of never allowed them to jump in, but saying that, are we sure it was during a training session, most likely is but... Mate I am 13. So technically I count as a teen but I think the term teen demines ur capabilities and make you sound like an idiotic child who's becoming an adult. But that's what you are at that age, a child becoming an adult. Tbh, at 13 you haven't got a clue, at 21 you still haven't got a clue, (Really, they would of thought its ok to do this as adults arn't stopping them) you will change and learn so much in between those years. I still have mates at 25 doing daft shit endangering their lives on a constant basis. Its the kind of daft thing they'd do, only they'd be drunk while doing it and probably naked. At 17 its that age where you are learning responsibility for your own actions, but yet want to impress, want to have a laugh, and probably when your most vulnerable. At 13 your probably less likely to do stuff like this tbh.

uventus' Serie B clash with Cesena on Friday night has been postponed after a serious accident in which two young Juve players died. The two 17-year-old players, Riccardo Meli and Alessio Ferramosca, drowned as they attempted to retrieve some footballs from a small pond near the club's sports centre in Turin. The game was cancelled immediately as a Juventus spokesperson broke the tragic news. "Tonight's game will not be contested, and the public is invited to hold on to their tickets," he said. "A serious incident has hit our club. The sporting director, Alessio Secco, the management and the players all decided not to play the game, which will now be rescheduled for 2007." --------------------------- That's bad shit.

No sorry, just announced on SSN's Couldn't think of a worse way to go, sure thats what happened in a past life.

He should maybe start cutting inside and learning how to shoot, thought he was part striker when he joined? I am not trying to be harsh, I actually like Milner and did NOT want him going to Villa. He runs well but usually goes past/overshoots the strikers and crosses anyway - he needs to look up more. I would prefer it if he took a couple of shots himself and run inward instead of trying to cross as well. If he ran inward he might have better awareness and opportunity. He does need working on like, and his crossing is suspect, i just think its a damn shame he doesn't have a true target-man to aim for. For a young winger (where consistency is rare) learning his trade, he's not doing too badly, at least he came back from Villa able to run at players and take them on, if he sorts out the finer points of crossing (which for me wont happen until our front men work the box better) and like we say, starts cutting in to add another option, he'll be a class act. Milner grows on me every game, i think he's a talent, not as fast a SWP or Lennon, nor as tricky, but i think he could end up smarter, like Nobby with pace, and that will do for me.

Did he not do a mobile phone advert doing tricks lying on the grass doing keepy-ups and other tricks?

Unfortunate, but if they are not 100% behind this, then its best they pull out now, rather than somewhere down the line. I want a takeover as much as anyone, but the new owners need to be focused, committed and with enough financial backing to make a difference.

Don't you ever get bored of being a broken record yourself, spouting total shite as always? As always? Mate, you really need a slap in the face, you are one of the most hated and laughed at people on this forum. I haven't met a single person on here who has a good word to say about you. Your boring as fuk, talk shite, think your something special and go about being such a misery, most posters avoid you like the plague. Your a joke my friend, i hope you dont go on like this in the outside world, as i doubt you'd have a real friend who'd give a damn if you lived or died.

I'm confident we can take them. We just need some players back, and some money spent in the window, and we'll cream them. Cups in the bag tbh.

Fuking sick. Fuking sick as fuk right now. That fat retarded bastard wants to sell up soon or my christmas wish is he chokes on his fuking christmas dinner. Fat twat

they always had the UBS backing as far as i remember. i'm not sure about Polygon, some of their previous antics have been a little too off-the-wall for them to gain our trust, but UBS brings a modicum of respectiviely. would be very interesting to see the exact details of Polygon and UBS's relationship. BTW where have the BBC reported this news? UBS no doubt will be in some control over proceedings, if not very much in the mix. It might be good for us to have two sets of people offering opinions and experience, rather than some fat wanker who fought his way out of the school gates come lunch time.
