Kluivert wasn't crap, he was a better footballer than Alan Shearer, he just gave up and couldn't be arsed to fill his potential or even keep up a good standard of fitness. Too much money ruined him, but like he gives a shit, and that's the problem with Kluivert, he just didn't and its ruined his career.

For £3m he's the striker we need to buy. I wouldn't pay any more than that, and i dont think NUFC should spend anymore money than that on a striker when we've limited funds, and no bodies to play.

Owen is a footballer with great thinking and instincts, im sure he will be ok. Still him losing anymore pace would make it even more difficult to be the Owen of old. But, the 18months off football could help him later in his career, but i doubt he'll be here then.
