And Danny Graham was a better signing than Callum Wilson. Even at their very best they couldn't attract someone like Howe which shows the gap between the clubs. We're at our worst, a total shell of a club, yet we've brought it the best English option going. They'll be gutted with that as most of their xenophobic material is out the window, they'll have to think of new ways to try and insult him.

aye, I was there. Got a video of them booing as the whistle went. Was a great day out (corporate event)

When you have those kind of words mixed in with a bout of genuine criticism (even so it got very personal) then it looks bad, it looks like the hounding we were branded with over Bruce, who genuinely received very little compared to his distain for the fans and his ability as a manger. Jones is 3 games in and we know he's a stopgap yet is getting the same levels. Next time the fans are accused of hounding & abusing managers lets all not get so pissy, because its completely correct as we've proven with Jones....after 3 fucking games (2 away draws & 1 defeat from league leaders and current CL holders)

A prick, a cunt and a coward. That's abuse and all aimed at him on the page previous to my comment. So yes, its abuse.

SD tat down and pics of Howe in SJP holding a scarf this week, imo.

Plenty do, just the very best have alternative options. It's good were aiming high though even if that will mean initially some disappointment.

This bar Dubs. He can join the Squid Game party if he makes it the 1st game without injuring himself.
-
Might be a good opportunity to get him in to coaching

Has the footballing brain of an under 11's player. Howe has a job on getting something out of him but I do think there is a second chance for him (and everyone really) under a proper manager
-
Remember Souness doing the same for us the horrible cunt.

It's just nerves, 14 years of Ashley and 18 months of a takeover not happening. Its frazzled people's patience, optimism & logic thinking. It will take some time for us fans to settle down.

You think Smith losing Terry has had an impact as well?
-
Him being seen last night (and with his assistant manager) was clearly a message to the outside that things are going well and not to believe the papers who just want to shit stir. We know they take their time and we know not even a week ago they were publicly stung. Until everything is in order they won't be announcing anything or letting any more planned leaks come out. Hopefully that goes with everything they do now. Call it a lesson learned for people new to football.

As limited as he is as a manager I really don’t think it warrants the abuse he’s receiving in this thread. Seems a decent guy with the club at heart. He’ll go back to being a coach and probably do a good job under Howe.

Luke Eddiewards to the rescue.

Your point being? The article says nothing at all. Everything is speculation as to what is happening.
-
Is he that insecure he needs all his pals around him to succeed? I understand wanting your own back room staff and going for those you’ve worked with before but if for whatever reason they can’t come you as the fucking manager find alternative candidates and build new relationships. This is my fear with him, if it’s not a perfect setting he just doesn’t cope.

hello darkness my old friend…

Like I always say at work; the only stupid question to ask is the one you didn't and something went wrong. The whole setup is new, she's not daft but will be surrounded by football people trying to catch her out to either bring her down or earn some money from it. She has to be the brightest person in the room at all times, not even the self proclaimed feminist of football Karen Brady has her back, she really is up against it. Im sure she's used to it, just see how incredibly bad Barclays treated her and talked about her behind her back.

Was thinking the other day their downfall has coincided with Terry leaving. He possibly does have something about him.

Do feel Smith should be allowed a shit season after doing so well last time out. From unfairly surviving to riding high in the table I think their level is somewhere in between and that's where they'll end up if they stick with. It was the board who sold Grealish not Smith so they are responsible for the sudden decline. On paper it seemed they spent the money well and maybe in time it'll come together, it's a club still coming to terms of selling their favorite son. That can cast a shadow for a while, it did for us and Carroll. I don't think they'll get much better so they would be sacking him just to freshen it up which may work short term but med / long term they'll end back at this position again. Maybe the board should do the unimaginable and back their man for everything he's done for them so far whilst acknowledging all parties can do better. This is what I worry with us about Howe. A little bit of trouble and we sack him thinking were better than we are. Mind you can't argue with fans about their own club so my opinion is probably worth naught if the majority have turned and had enough. Again though, thoughts will be clouded on Grealish leaving and it's left a strange mood in the club and that won't shake by changing manager.

Good evening.

No he's not, not even close waste of cash though considering the glaring holes in about 7 other positions.

Still no official announcement? Probably fell through again.
