I always thought Owen was on £105k and Shearer had it in his contract he’d always have parity with the highest earner so therefore he went up to £105k also when Owen signed. It’s that mentality which is killing us at home. Without possession you can’t win a game of football, well deservedly. It’s not sustainable over a period of time. I totally understand doing it for the top clubs in the division and basically every away game, but we need to go for it at home and give the fans something to cheer about as what is being dished out simply isn’t good enough. With this tactic and setup we’re dropping far too many key points at home to stay in this division. Also, I didn’t expect much in this window, not with the takeover drama killing it, but I expected better than fuck all by now. Utter disgrace from everyone involved at the club, absolutely messing with the future of it and fans aside, it deserves another relegation and it will duly deliver.

It’ll be ran on a shoestring with minimal investment to keep it afloat, regardless if sold or not.

We’ll try (and fail) with some panic loans in the last few days of the window but apart from that we will bring no one in. Possibly see mitro & shelvey leave for decent money plus 2 or 3 fringe players out the door like Colback, Saivet, haidara, gamez etc... If we stay up it’ll be nothing short of a miracle, if we go down and we will be seeing the last of our captain plus anything decent like Merino. Either way, Rafa walks at the end of the season after his loyalty to players and to the fans has been fulfilled. Could still see PCP sniffing around and taking 6 months to decide what’s an acceptable bid for the club whilst negatively impacting another transfer window. Ashley remains for another decade. Happy times ahead.

You wouldn't take a low ball offer on your house after you've dropped it to a reasonable price... Dont see why he should go any lower. I want him out as much as the next man but we've got to be realistic on what he's going to accept.
