Have a feeling the Telegraph will come in and Pardew will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

Didn't Allardyce boast of the house in Spain he bought with his Newcastle payoff. By agreeing to resign I'm sure the FA will have bought him another house.

It is a pattern of England recruitment in recent years, plus many other managerial appointments not to turn towards something similar. Bruce as an old guard PFM is too similar. There is risk too of further stings and controversies down the line. So even if Bruce is innocent the FA will go with someone whose CV doesn't look like they have any dirty laundry behind the sofa waiting to be found by the press. What's on Steve Bruce's CV that may suggest he's got some dirty laundry? Just because he's managed a lot of average PL/Championship clubs? Allardyce and Redknapp have always had allegations surrounding them but I'm pretty sure Bruce has never had anything dodgy about him except his nose and always employing his son. I might be missing something obvious but I can't remember any allegations against him Have you been paying attentions of the scandal? Telegraph has dirt on over ten high profile managers involved in English football. Once all these come out it is going to be hard for the FA to look at any of the old guard, purely from the risk of association regardless of whether they are found to be clean.

lnexperience and rapid success makes him a favourite as he has had less time in management to be corrupted but otherwise has Proven he has some capability.

Hodgson was much better than any of the others on that list to be fair. Just our players are so thick.

Too many English managers will be tainted by this scandal for FA to back another PFM especially when the British ones are pretty ropey. That rules out Bruce and co. The next England manager will either be Southgate (untainted) or a complete shock.

Think its more to do with the fact that Derby are doing s*** and he blamed the players after saturday. Bruce lined up to replace him apparently. All major news people reporting that he's been suspended, you wouldn't just be suspended because you're shit. Something has gone on there. Would fit with Telegraph giving those they have stung and their employers 12 hours notice for right to reply. Especially if they had needed a way to sack without payoff.

Probably the start of The Sun's defensive rally.
  11. With this telegraph expose who might the interesting odds be. Particularly interested in the manager who covered up player gambling, he could be in deep shit.

Full extent of the telegraph expose. Note the investigation took 10 months so widens the net a little on whom individuals may be. The Telegraph began investigating corruption in English football last year after receiving information that specific managers, officials and agents were taking or receiving cash payments to secure player transfers. Over the coming days the Telegraph will detail how: The assistant manager of a high-profile football club accepted a £5,000 cash “bung” Ten managers were named by players’ agents as taking bribes to fix player transfers Two well-known managers discussed becoming ambassadors for the same fictitious firm as Sam Another high-profile manager admitted his players broke FA rules by betting on their own games but he failed to report it A senior figure at a Premier League club helped undercover reporters to formulate a plan to bribe managers

Any PL manager during the last ten months btw so could also cover McClaren for example.

Sorry I mean an ex-England player with limited club management exposure.

What is the charge? Signing a deal? A succulent chinese deal? I really hope this whole situation doesn't somehow end up in the King getting the reigns. Quite possible that Pardew could be one of the managers to be revealed later this week. After this I think the FA would have to go with someone squeaky clean and low risk. Probably Southgate or an ex-player. Or Klinnsman.

Henry Winter says he has spoken to the FA and Allardyce's survival is 'touch and go'

Although if he does go someone needs to stick his head on that Abe Simpson gif.

I think he will scrape by too. The FA won't have the balls to act and then The Sun will come flying in to his rescue with their usual shit. Regarding third party ownership the problem with it was businessman picking up 16 year old kids in Africa or South America, promising then the world, signing their life away. They are then being made to sign for third division Romanian teams, living in squalor whilst the third party pockets all the wages. Regardless of illegalities, offering to help businessmen circumvent third party rules is immoral and is against the FA's code of ethics that was established long before FIFA followed suit.

It is mocking a speech impediment. It's unacceptable behaviour. In addition the FA launched an official complaint to The Sun for use of Woy's England Woar headline so they have to be consistent.

At least ten managers caught up in this sting btw, including two who signed up to the same fake organisation that Sam has.

Makes you wonder how often people like Sam get away with it. I bet he comes home bragging to the missus about his air miles. Monumentally stupid though, he gets his dream job and he does this nonsense. Can't help himself. Needs to eternally grow the cult of his own self importance.
