  1. Agree with Ronaldo that Robert is better than Ben Arfa. They are too very different players but SBR found the magic formula to make Robert perform consistently. Tbh I think HBA would have struggled to break into that team.
  2. Probably running away from Ashley as well then
  3. Severance would take a while to negotiate.
  4. Pardew thinks he would make a great Bond
  5. 14 points in 24 games is 5th worst in PL history
  6. Reckon he will be gone before the end of MOTD

    Rolando Aarons

Toptoon, what do you think the team lineup should be now Aarons is out?
  8. There is no way of shifting Ashley until he is ready, so I am going to look as the positives: Allows us to focus our intentions on Pardew out Club not distracted by sale process and uncertainty Fans know where they stand and work out what we can and can't achieve with protests. Ashley remains interested in the club and he s not going to want to see us relegated. I believe the top 8 target is genuine.

    Rolando Aarons

Not worried about Aarons I fully expect Ashley to expect the management to give him opportunities that will make him a 8 figure player
  11. He's been invited to appear on Geordie Shore
  12. I suppose the difference though is that Bobby had Shearer and Ferguson already
  13. I believe that were Pardew to actually be given the boot after 5 or 6 games, had Bobby Robson been around to replace him, then his first act would be to make Gouffran a striker again. He may even get 10 goals.
  14. I cum just now if that will help any of you sleep well tonight.

    Emmanuel Rivière

Might be ok with 2 up top but as a lone striker he is shit.
  16. We require a young enthusiastic winger with pace that will run at players and create a few spaces as the game wears down into the final 30 mins. Oh.
  17. Know nothing about the player but glad he has seemingly got himself away from the East Ukraine. BUT the owner of Donetsk is supposedly a chief financial backer of the same people that shot our supporters out if the sky. So I support the player but I don't support the transfer which is as immoral as fuck.
  18. Keegan's won very comfortably, now for a couple of less good squads and less good managers, Souness and Allardyce.
  19. Luiz is a brilliant footballer but as a defender there are probably 50 defenders in the world better than him. The amount PSG paid will endlessly baffle me.
  20. I know I voted Keegan's also, but would it really be that overwhelming? Bobby was no mug and might have had something lined up. Woodgate in defence, Robert and Solano, Speed, Shearer, Bellamy. Doesn't seen so clear cut to me?
  21. Ok the idea is simple, a chance to reminisce over some old teams good and bad, with a poll vote on which team would actually win were they to play each other. So to start with two popular managers and seasons, Keegan's 95 and Robson's 2003. Just to clarify, it is a question of who wins, not who your favourite was. Poll 1 - Keegan's 1995 NUFC 54 - 16 Robson's 2003 NUFC
  22. A good player just short of his peak years is always going to improve if they play regularly against better opposition and train with better team mates. We have had countless of good individuals under bad managers in the past. However a really great manager can make a very good player magical and a mediocre player very good. For example Bobby Robson managing Robert, Dabizas, Dyer.
  23. Using that logic, we shouldn't do business with the Scots either, seeing as they also have an independence movement going on... There are many unanswered questions about why the situation in Ukraine blew up and who was really behind it. The Russians are not the only bad guys.... However, this is a football matter - and site - and politics shouldn't really enter into it. Any player we wanted from one of the Ukrainian clubs is almost certain to be just as sick of the situation as we are and if he would be an asset to NUFC, so be it. Nothing against the player, it is the concept of giving millions of pounds to someone who is financially backing the people that blew our own fans up which is the issue for me.
