The BBC have reissued Just Call Me Bobby. Loads of copies for £3.99 in Morrisons Leeds so I'd imagine it is going to be a pretty wide rerelease. Must be worth owning a hard copy as opposed to a VHS recording or something else if you haven't already got one

I've Geoff Sheard this story. Getting silly now. Like my puns.

Reminds me of when Grobelaar was not guilty by the jury, but then had his character completely assassinated by a judge in the civil courts.

Because my bank switched from Maestro to Visa, it fell through again this year, meaning I only had to pay the £18 once more

Well forgive me for being from the Westcountry and therefore having a completely different perspective on that joke to the rest of you Moving on, my Uncle is still a season ticket holder and I could find out how he's been getting on if people ask nicely.

My cousins were born in Bristol and my Uncle played for Bristol Rovers. My Dad is from Plymouth. I should know. What has that got to do with why Dave edited that in? Maybe you should look up what the nickname of Bristol Rovers is..... Just correcting the regional stereotypes

To be honest, I reckon Moat and Shearer will have several deals in place ready for when this gets pushed through. We won't have to worry that this not being done until 31st August if that is what ends up happenning.
-
I have a feeling it is less likely. I reckon Barclays rejected Moat's proposal for him to carry on under Ashley's arrangement with the bank, so its probably going to require selling more as that could be the only way Moat can raise the extra cash.
-
So he hasn't even made a concrete offer yet? What a shambles this club is. Sounds more like everything except Barclays was in place, and Barclays made us wait until Monday morning, where they have presumably rejected Moat's initial plans, so he's going to have to try again.

Graham Robertson/Freddy Shepherd, is that you?

For those of us on the mo-bile, what was/is it? Random old page on the website that hasn't been updated, nothing to do with THE BIG ANNOUCEMENT! http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/1763/10559810.png It was definitely there. Fucking hell. I've got to work today.

For those of us on the mo-bile, what was/is it? It is just a dead 'coming soon' link someone has found. It's not on the homepage or the news page so I don't know where its come from, but I highly doubt there is anything.

Wasn't Ashley's last announcement to the Times, i.e. the 'I'm selling up' announcement that came completely out of the blue? Club's web site wasnt it ? That was the time he was selling up before!

It is as equally impeccable as yours. You are clutching at straws, I'm clutching at straws. as far as I can see, people are jumping on this 'we are not being sold' bandwagon for no apparent reason, so I'm just trying to offer a different perspective. It is like the administration on Friday story from a few weeks ago, although more people seem to have got into this one. Mine? What my previous comment that Ashley may wait until playing Palace away for our 4th game of the season to judge how things may pan out on the pitch Vs. your, he only makes announcements at weekends? Shut up man. Where did I say he only makes announcements at weekends? The point was that he is an impulsive guy, I can't see him going around telling club sources that there will be an announcement on Monday that he is staying. He will just come out and say what he wants to say when he makes his mind up, be it Saturday, Sunday or Monday. "Look, the two major announcements during the season by Mike Ashley have both been made at the weekend. If Ashley wants to take the club off the market, he will have already done so." Impeccable. You clearly have problems reading beyond the first question mark. I'll put the important bit in bold for your convenience. At no point have I said that he only does weekends. What I have said is that he makes his mind up and does things, and he doesn't fanny around waiting for a certain day to make a decision.

If something was agreed, he'd say. If it wasn't, he wouldn't know for sure it'd be sorted by the Monday. It's a fair point, but my instinct says that there are two clear differences. The first is that contracts may still need to get signed, perhaps one of the key investors can't get here until Monday from the States for example. The second is slightly silly, and a real definite straw clutch, but perhaps he just wanted one last game as Newcastle owner That is of course if anything is happenning on Monday at all
