  1. Presume you mean after Dubravka but for me ASM is first as he completely transforms us
  2. I think he’s quite unfortunate to be playing in 2020 and not 2000 as had be been around then he’d probably be scoring 20 a season at a mid table club as part of a 442. The little man strikers just don’t exist any more.
  3. Initially I was frustrated we can’t see either letter however actually thinking about it this is NUSTs reputation for the next 10+ years at stake in terms of the relationship they can build with PL and the club. On that basis I just hope that these letters aren’t being bandied around secret WhatsApp groups and suchlike
  4. Bring back Colback we need some Ginger Power
  5. "And should we win the day, the 4th of July will no longer be known as an Sports Direct Day, but as the day when the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! Today we celebrate Alan Pardew Day" FYP
  6. Exactly Battmann’s the hero Newcastle United deserves, but not the one it needs right now, so we'll hunt him. Because he can take it, because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. FYP
  7. He's asking for clarity. If he wants it, he asks Ashley to ask the PL. That's the only way the information flows. I don't know what is gained by him mentioning it to the media unless Ashley, via him, is trying to put pressure on by becoming publicly vocal. Bruce and Shearer coordinating tonight in my opinion. It’s a very consistent, public message that will be hard to ignore
  8. Fuck sake it’s because Darlow has been promised cup games but he isn’t good enough if we wanted to win
  9. In terms of getting Newcastle fans to stay at home Tomorrow evening is the best moment to announce
  10. If you want a break from the takeover thread, head over to the Almiron thread where apparently Obertan is the better player
  11. James

    Miguel Almirón

That is genuinely one of the worst posts in forum history
  12. I did because you can’t just sign four new strikers and he has something to offer.
  13. He’s by far the best striker we have, on the basis of a sub option he’s still effective no matter who we sign in the summer
  14. The year is 4518. Neil Warnock has just been appointed manager of Championship strugglers Everton. It’s his last job. Meanwhile on the Newcastle United Saudi takeover thread fans have moved on to discussing musical hits from Timor-Leste in the 38th Century. Dave still hasn’t returned.
  15. Can't see anything being released today. They won't want fans near SJP on a match day. If they do, they could announce it after the match. Most people will be in home by then. The people who do go out to gather at SJP are going to do that whenever it’s announced. Think they’ll do it mid match at the weekend and Shearer will be asked to keep the fans in check
  16. I’ve just discovered what is meant by Richard Keys having tarmaccing done
  17. I don’t think it’s as clear cut as saying that Bruce was hiding behind 523, he tried something else earlier in the season and quickly became clear it wouldn’t work. Think losing Rafa, Perez, and Rondon really broke the players confidence and we had to maintain stability in defence and rebuild offensively as we got points on the board and got more confidence. Wouldn’t be surprised if we went on to be top 6 form for last 9 games now. Want him gone but he’s done better than we all expected in what has practically been a caretaker manager role.
  18. Is there a manager who hasnt relied on luck at some point to get results? If not then why hold it against Bruce? Over a season you make your own luck
  19. There are a number of deficiencies in the playing squad notably the loss of Perez and Rondon, which meant we should have been expecting to be languishing right at the bottom. Yes on paper we could have lost many more games and overall over the course of the season I think he has generally made the right decisions given the poor hand he had. Obviously don’t want him here next season but he’s done the most important thing really, he gave the club an extra year to get the takeover done, and he got us into a position that made us look investable in March - something Rafa didn’t because we were always a bit to close to the bottom to attract serious buyers.
  20. We’ve scored 17% of all of Sheffield United’s goals conceded
