There just hasn't been any investment in women's football at all until the last few years, and the investment there has been, has only been at the top level! The keeper playing today will almost certainly never have had actual proper goal keeping training. If she has, it will be a recent thing compared to boys, who will have it from a very early age! In the WSL (top women's league in this country) up until a few years ago, most teams didn't even have a goal keeper coach! The standard at international level has improved hugely over the last few years, but it will be a long time before tier 4 teams have good quality keepers! Great occasion today though! Just hope we can get promotion his season and we can start to invest properly

Only problem with cheap tickets, is people get them and then don't bother turning up! It's happened loads in the WSL where they've said games are sold out, then there are blocks of empty seats! Fingers crossed it doesn't happen this time!! Hopefully it's still enough of a novelty thing! Would be good if the men's twitter account could push it a bit over the next couple of days!

I hope the club start promoting the game at St James a bit more. Looks like they've only opened up 1 stand so far to get tickets, and it would be a shame if the crowd was low after getting so many in last time!

1,500 at the game today! Great attendance for a 4th tier game, but especially given kick off was the same time as the men kicked off on Sky! They're at Kingston Park again next Sunday, so perfect opportunity to go and support them!

England will play Sweden in the Semi's now. On paper Sweden should be favourites, but England have looked stronger in the tournament so far I'll probably jinx it, but should be really tight! Last time we faced each other 'competitively' was 2019 and the 3rd place play off in the world cup.....they beat us!

Just couldn't happen! Imagine how much money it would cost to say every single pitch has to have a separate set of goals for when women play, at every level?? If it was a major problem, loads more goals would be scored. It just makes the game different!

Spain were tactically better than us for about 75 minutes! They attacked down the right which meant bronze couldn't get forward, and they completely took mead and hemp out of the game However, as much as they had a lot more the ball, they didn't create a load of chances, which is where they've struggled all tournament White looks rubbish, but she tires teams out off the ball as she never stops running The difference today seemed today that we had a plan B, and they didn't, our substitutes changed the game! Semi final against (likely) Sweden will be very tough! They got to the semi finals of the world cup and the final of the Olympics, they're very strong! Even if we win that, we'll likely get Germany in the final, but let's just enjoy where we are for now!!

Huge game this! Both teams were probably joint favourites going into the tournament, so should be tight! Both teams like to keep possession but Spain are likely to see the most of the ball. Hopefully their high line will suit us, but cant see them being as open and as high up the pitch against us as they have against other teams. The winner will most likely face Sweden, which will be equally as tough!
