They were named "Renford Rejects" when a rival player sabotaged their league entry form, but decided to stick with the name as it suited their "outcast" nature. Nice summary, that. You could almost write a Wikipedia entry. -

Dave > Gandhi (insert random name)

Considering he's basically failed to turn in a single class performance in two years, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Bowyer was a fucking rubbish signing, tbh. Never did anything of note in his time here: see Barton, in fact.
-
Not exactly related but I don't know how anyone can boo and keep a straight face. I've tried; it's impossible. You literally sound ridiculous, like you're trying to do a rubbish monkey impression or something. That's why you just shout, "Boo, ya cunt".

If hes still there, aal gaan doon an chin em! Fair to say that the fella behind the counter--who I know is a long-term ST holder and away dayer--had to bite his lip.

Were any of you lot at West Monkseaton post office about an hour ago? I was queuing to post some stuff and the gadgie ahead of me in the queue started talking about how Keegan 'walked away from every job he's had' and that he's a 'disgrace'. I swear there was almost a blazing row: it's like someone took this thread and made it real.

Found a bit of metal in my Greggs sarnie once. No, ta.

Get out of my club.

Oh right, I'm meant to go "excuse me good sirs, I believe that 'football chant' you are singing displays some factual inaccuracies. Perhaps you would consider some revisions?" 'I've made a list.'
-
Ultimately, we're still 21st in the league, anyway.
-
eh? Sigh. I said, why don't one of these people complaining about the song suggest changing it to one of the thousands of people singing it. See how they get on, y'know? im a thick geordie bastr@d, but ill stick to the original version on weds thanks. Bloody hell, that's what I was saying. The people complaining wouldn't have the bawls to pipe up at the game, if they find the chant 'embarrassing'. Not really the time or place to have a rational conversation about the merits or otherwise of a particular chant, like.

Absolutely top-notch post.

Opening paragraph: 'I used to know Sol Campbell quite well. We weren't bosom pals but in my early days as a Fleet Street showbiz hack, I'd bump into him on the party circuit so beloved of footballers and he was always good fun to hang out with.' Oh, aye, Piers, I bet you and Sol were out on the lash every other night, mate. Later on: 'I said hello but he just stared at me with dead eyes, shook my hand with what seemed like severe reluctance, muffled a response and walked on.' Thought you'd be used to that sort of response by now, you fucking prick.

That Clarke Carlisle is a really interesting bloke.

Don't think he has an attitude problem. Maybe lacks confidence in the box and shooting is apparently not his strong point. He did seem a bit too casual after his early chance though. Casual in his general play? Aye. Not sure about that. Does seem to be a confidence player, though. Couple of times I thought he got caught dwindling on the ball and not being the most urgent. Oh, aye, I agree with that. Was more inexperience, I thought, than anything else. Think his attitude has been very good, tbh, and work-rate miles above anything Shola's turned in.
