  1. http://www.worldcupblog.org/images/euro2008-chart.pdf That any good Keefy? I've basically nicked them and made a good version: http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/3803/euro2008chart1yb6.th.jpg http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/3729/euro2008chart2no5.th.jpg Two A4 pages if you want to print it out.
  2. Anyone know anywhere that has a print-out-able wallchart of the fixtures?
  3. Think Defoe has really let himself down these last two friendlies.

    Peter Crouch

There's a joke here, I just can't quite piece it together... Bent... Crouch... Bent... Crouch.
  5. I stopped reading that tbh as soon as you said you had a friend. Whatever. Just cos' I'm connected.
  6. As a side issue, a friend of of someone who works at the Chronicle told my friend that Owen has it written into his contract that he's actually allowed to sleep during training. They airlift him and his bed straight onto the training pitch.
  7. I think with me, I think the lad is class, but that article that was wrote recently about him being better at Everton did actually hit home quite a bit, and I agree with it in every sense. The Rooney of 4 years ago is better than the one now for me. I agree in a way, but a player like him is also going to lose his way a bit. Hopefully, he'll kick on. He still contributes a lot for his team, but the Man Utd system is holding him back a bit, but ultimately, that might be for the good of his game, long-term.
  8. If he's got training the next day then he might want a good night's sleep though, however on his days off he may afford himself the luxury of a late night and a lie-in. What time does player training start? I assume its not too early so he should still get plenty of sleep. Well I hadn't thought of that tbh, i'd only assumed he'd want to be up in good time before it starts, and get a good meal down him, so that he isn't playing on an empty stomach. He could make a packed lunch before he goes to bed and then eat his sandwiches on the bus in the morning.
  9. I've just thought. He'd have to wait until the chippy round the corner from his house closes, so he can use the cooled fat on his bonce.
  10. Harsh because most of the England team has been shite. At least Rooney has had spells where he's looked the best player on't pitch.
  11. I've gone for midnight as he's Portuguese so is probably used to going to bed later than the average Brit. Although maybe he has adapted his sleeping to our culture?
  12. Alright, Jol. The gig's up: we all know it's you.

    Duff to Mackems?

Dunno where you are getting that form considering there has already been confirmed bids for Woodgate in January and Modric. Both were considerable bids. Aye, but he didn't really have much time then did he? And plus, he wouldn't have known who he wanted to sell within the first two weeks of being at the club. Eh?. what's your point? Keegan joined our club with about 2 weeks of the January window left - he wouldn't have had enough time to run the rule over the squad and decide who he wanted to flog. Therefore the theory of "having to sell before buying" was not really in place in January, as time was short. Yeah! but this not January any more is it, and after the meeting with Ashley in London it probably does mean he needs to lower the wage bill before being able to buy. There's no evidence to support that assertion.

    Peter Crouch

Anyone who thinks this is a ragbag club with an over the hill manager should probably join Crouch at Portsmouth. There's a nice lttle club with shed for a ground that can easily accomodate a few more supporters. Plus they've got a jowelly faced cunt for a manager whose wife tells him where he can work I believe in my club, but the people saying only a mug would choose Pompey over us are deluded, tbh.
  15. I dunno what you're talking about.

    Peter Crouch

Have to agree. Pompey are looking a much more attractive proposition than ourselves at the minute. FA Cup winners, Europe, good fans, playing well, rated manager, seemingly no shortage of dough.

    Peter Crouch

    Think Jones looks canny, tbh.
  18. If he's that good why are 'shiteholes like Portsmouth' his best option? that's what i'd like to know Get real pls. As stated in my previous posts, Pompey is obviously a better proposition. If we are to compete for players with the likes of Spurs and Pompey, we will lose out as we are a lesser club. We are only big because of our crowd. It also these statements saying Portsmouth are shiteholes that make us butt of jokes for our constant delusion that we are great. Sad but true..but have accepted this fact long time ago. Btw, as revealed in an interview Utaka in France, he rejected us even though we offer higher wages cos he wants regular football but he did add, Portsmouth is a rising club while us yes he did say specifically in French, that we are a club going nowhere. i see what you're saying, but you're not 100% correct - it would surprise me if any player chose pompey ahead of us in a one on one fight for him, only thing i could see swinging it would be some type of affiliation with redknapp or the geographical location (in Dunne's case maybe a hatred of Barton) many NUFC fans (IMO) know that our club can ignite very quickly (perhaps like no other in the PL although that's arguable) and overtake these other clubs like pompey to challenge the top four if we get it right my issue with that viewpoint isn't that it's wrong but more that the likelihood of us getting it THAT right THAT fast is very slim, very slim indeed...i think there are going to be some very disappointed NUFC fans after the summer and next season, there's simply too much to do at the moment but to say pompey is a better proposition than us is a joke really They are in Europe, that in its self can be enough for some players if a player is short sighted enough to choose a club in europe for the first time in 'X' amount of years (ever?) over newcastle who've been in it a lot for the past decade plus and have won a european trophy then we're better off without them surely? For the peaking players, it is understandable that they are short-sighted especially for a Prem league veteran like Dunne who can see we are not going to be a Pompey (in terms of Europe & silverware, stability, ambition, more quality players) in the next 3-5 years. Not saying that we cannot reach that standard but it takes time especially our huge spending days are over as well as difficulties in attracting good players. So i put my head, unless we are the only one interested in him, he is going to Spurs and Pompey, clubs that can achieve something in the short term rather than in a steadying-progress-ship like us. run it by me again why spurs who finished just above us in the league and we have beat on the last 5 occasions are that far ahead of us ? Duh!!! my god, this statement is being short-sighted. You realise most Spurs fans have lost faith with Comolli and his weird buying sprees?? I would rather be in their shoes with their weird signings and win a cup this season and in Europe. Further, has a "weird" coach who win things and beat us in signings like the not-so-good Modric and overrated Woodgate. On the midst of signing Spanish prodigy Capel. I would be not so down if we have half of this weird spending sprees. So, you're a Spurs fan, then?
