It's hard to see how we kick on from here. Just retaining our best players is difficult, let alone bringing in improvements. I think Howe's focus on the CL was an attempt to address that? Raise the profile of the club through that route. I mean, basically we just have to be realistic. I don't think we're ever going to be Man City. But, equally, I don't think Man City are going to be Man City for long.

Five more years

I remember a time when we hardly ever lost to the mackems. It was like 3 losses in about 21 since we first got promoted to the PL. I do feel a bit for those who think these are games we always lose and hate them for that reason, but historically it's basically 50-50. We'll win again. I want games that mean something. Even if it hurts sometimes. What's the point otherwise?
