  1. Right. Haven't been keeping up with General Chat of late. As Pele's say: I would.
  2. Ashton is a top player, imo. Don't know what you mean about his general play? Seems very good to me.
  3. Who is the bird in your avatar? She has, as they say, crackin' norks.
  4. He didn't want what little neck he had covered up. In all seriousness This is actually the true answer.

    Shay Given's Dad

LOL'd! Bit embarassing for Shay, like.

    Gooch

Performed well today next to a 'very Bramble' Bramble. Also showed a bit of nous when 'fouled' by Bellamy.
  7. Tbh, I can't be arsed to discuss Bellamy ever again. I will, owever, say that Agger was wank today and thank God for Reina's insanity.
  8. Obviously an exagerration, but he definitely appreciates his time here and the fans.
  9. There was definite contact for the pen. To call it a dive would be harsh.
  10. I'm pretty sure Riise thought it was a pen, so...
  11. Whassat? Just being generally pally and joking around. They did it during matchplay, too. Thought Bellamy behaved pretty decently throughout.
  12. Semi-dive for the pen. Definitely left his foot there, but a good dive: certainly by Taylor's standards.
  13. I don't understand how the defence seemed 200% more composed in the second half. It seemed we were playing a higher line, which you would've thought'd be trouble against Bellamy, but it seemed to focus the back four into actually being a unit.
  14. We were a bit fortunate first half with Titus doing his usual and Bellamy terrorising, but second half we looked the better team for most of it and 'Pool ran out of ideas, tbh. Great win.
  15. Excellent result, enjoyable match which could've gone either way. Well done, lads, never suspected a result like that, tbh. Roeder's celebrations:
  16. Hmmm... Doesn't seem hugely pro-Boro, like, does he?

    Edgar?

    About 1000000:1, I'd say.
  18. That's a shame. Good crack watching Jeff on a Saturday while eating beans out of can.
  19. Basically, I'm surprised history has frowned on him to such an extent. He was one of the few players who tried to stand up against Souness (which was foolish, admitedly) while others (Shearer included) smarmed into his good books. Souness is a cunt who ruined this club and deserved to be kicked off the fucking training ground by the players.

    Edgar?

I'd certainly like to see him keeping Ramage--who's got very little going for him--off the subs bench. See how much more composed the back four were against West Ham when Ramage had to come off and Edgar replaced him.
  21. I thought FIFA could impose punishments for players who refuse to join up with their national sides: see the Makelele case.

    Edgar?

What's the score with this lad? Has looked the best of the recent reserve recruitments, imo, but hasn't seen a game. Better than Carr at LB, surely? Surely? Looks like he's got a cool head and seems to have that little bit of quality that Huntington, Ramage, etc. seem to lack.
  23. From a Toon persepctive, this isn't so bad: the worst thing that could happen would be for FIFA to ban him playing for us. Actually, the worst thing that could happen is that he gets chinned by irate fans next time he's in Lagos and gets both his legs broken.
  24. I dunno. I still wonder if it'll be split a little. There still a lot of fans who remember the good things he did. At the start of the Souness reign it was basically Bellamy playing the oppo by himself for the first half-a-dozen matches.
