I wonder why he didn't throw a "wobbler" after being pissed on by Villa last season, I'd say that was worse then losing to Chelsea or Arsenal. What about 1-5 at home to Man U or 3-0 away to Liverpool, Everton away wasn't any better. The characteristic of the Chelsea and Arsenal games were that they were a bringing down to earth after a period of optimism. We were starting to believe again, and then we were put in our place. Sky (and others) are presently licking their lips at the prospect of a boycott at the Hull game and the hours/days of newsreel they'll get out of it, I say feck them turn up as normal, fill the ground and don't play into their hands. i was interviewed by sky (for soccer saturday) outside the clubshop when roeder was in charge and there was a bit of unrest before he went...anyways the questions they asked were leading as f***, basically inviting me to set off into a rant my response, in a nutshell, was "buy better players, players who aren't injured all the time as well and results will improve on the pitch" do you think it made the final cut for soccer saturday? did it f***... No sadly anyone with an independent view is not going to make Sky, hence the type of person they do show and who help to portray the image of the city and club the media wish to create and perpetuate.

I don't need to justify my support for my club by cheering on the players or turning up at the match, buying merchandise, wearing my colors etc. and neither do any of us so whatever we do our support for NUFC can never be in question or deemed unsupportive FFS. A full on boycott would send shockwaves throughout the world of football and would gain worldwide support from rival fans. I feel this is about the state of the game too and not just NUFC, as I'm sick of how both are being ran. If there is a full house as normal and just chants against Ashley I for one will give up hope in us as fans as this is a real opportunity for us to once and for all say enough is enough. Enjoy your boycott it's your choice. As usual I'll be working this week, having a few pints and going to the match to support my team, the same team I've supported for decades. I might have a bit protest while I'm there. I'll be supporting my club too mate, but maybe in a different way to you. Like I said, enjoy it it's your choice.

And having the media and rival fans taking the piss out of you is more important than showing who WE the fans are and what we want? Are you a Newcastle fan Felip ? Do you attend matches ?

The circumstances surrounding Curbishley and Keegans departure are so similar but the outrage is so much greater (and different)here. Is this because the press and Sky etc were stirring and hyping the Wise/Keegan thing from day one and this has lead to Wise being seen as the villain of the piece.

Any kind of boycott will only provide more ammunition for Sky TV and the newspapers to take the piss out of us. Oh and don't forget you'll also have mackems and Man City fans in 10 years time saying "we remember when you only had 15,000 for a Premiership match" Just get yersels to the match and have a bit shout.

I don't remember anyone saying it is a BETTER system, but that it's becoming more prevelant in the modern game. New methods are not necessarily better. I'm old enough to know that.

Think you might be right about the geography thing. I'm not in Newcastle, and I blame both sides. I can still see Ashley making the club huge again. I am from Newcastle and I think both sides must take blame. I also think both sides wanted to move the club forward but had widely differing views on how to go about it. It's a huge shame that a compromise and common ground couldn't be found.

If it's any consolation I think a lot more agree with you than Sky TV etc, would have us believe Ian.

He fits in pretty well with the type of person Sky TV likes to portray as a "typical Newcastle fan". They're anything but typical if you ask me.

I've never heard about Schweinsteiger comming to us or leaving Bayern and I also live in Germany, quite near to Munich. I heard it from someone in Hamburg, but you'd expect to have heard it in Bavaria if it was happening.

Running the club from London left Keegan isolated within the club he was supposed to be responsible for managing. The "cockney cartel" have adopted an arrogant & high handed approach, obviously, otherwise her current Ashley/Wise created mess would never have happened. People running a football club have be aware of the character and identity of that club which in the case of Newcastle is very much and strongly associated with the city and region in which it is based. Something the current owner and boardroom management have paid lip service to but have obviously failed to really appreciate. I am a current season ticket holder but as long as Ashley and Wise continue to hold the positions at the club they do I will not set foot inside St James Park, and will not by merchandise at the club shops. I could say I would stop shopping at Sports Direct but as that place was pure tat I never went there in the first place. Then it's really strange that many on here think the answer is to have the club owned by Indians, Arabs or whoever. There are only a couple of Geordies (Graham Wylie springs to mind) who have the type of mega wealth needed to make an impact on football nowadays, so maybe an Englishman is as close as we'll get to someone understanding us.
