Didn't hear shit about them when I came to town, but now everyone has brand new caps and slutty-tube-tops on. Of course I rep Oakland til I die with a gat in my hand, it just means more people to kill. Good to hear that level of passion in your support. I always found support in North America quite raucous on the day but lacking in real intensity, and I know some who change their allegiance on a seasonal basis.

Agree, they're almost all hopeless. Shame we couldn't import them like players and coaches. However, recently I've seen a few at SJP who seem to be going out of their way to give us nothing, almost if it proves something for them in the wake of Ferguson and one or two others talking up the "intimidating" atmosphere, which in reality hardly exists.

Seeing the state Villa are in, and that many of their fans imply it was MON who sowed the seeds of their current malaise, I'd be slightly concerned if I was a mackem.

While we'd have all preferred the 2nd half to be like the first, we can also draw positives from the second half. Real determination, spirit and players prepared to put their bodies on the line. Very positive in terms of morale if not in terms of possession and retention.

That said I think there's every chance he'll use the Chelsea one to say as much as he can regarding his position. I very much doubt it. Not sure. It certainly won't dish the nitty gritty but I wouldn't be surprised to see a "love Newcastle, must all stick together, thanks for your patience and understanding" type statement. It's his most obvious platform but if he doesn't say anything there, now that the short term decision has been made, then I can't see him doing it anywhere.
