Overated but reasonably decent, like most of the US players. -

They have but it's been pretty hard not to look good. They have all the time in the world to pass it around. Zero press from Wales just sit back, hope to win the ball and invariable hoof it or just turn it back over if they do get possession. Rancid performance from Wales so far. -

Wales have been horrific so far. States good too. They tend to press in phases throughout the game though so maybe the Welsh plan wad to soak it up early on. Not convinced it's by design lol -

Nasty from Dest. Wales with zero confidence today. States confused why they have a gift wrapped present and are cautious opening it in case it's a trap! -

Wales has come out scared for some reason. Surprising or maybe not given their form coming into the world cup? -

Quality support Wales! -
Group F: Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Croatia (Morocco and Croatia qualify)

First game is everything. A draw or unlikely win would be absolutely massive for Canada. A loss and all the pressure is on getting a result against Croatia and almost a must win game. Canada almost always grow into games but if they aren't switched on (invariably) at the start the game will be over and Belgium out of sight before Canada can get into the game. First 20-30mins is everything for Canada imo. -

To be fair, Wilson did say to him "Miggy would have finished that better." -

Was going to say. He was constantly giving the ball away in the first half and start of the second! -
Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Barton tells Anderson to bet on himself. https://insidefutbol.com/2022/11/18/joey-barton-used-to-say-this-to-me-newcastle-united-talent-elliot-anderson/585624/ -
Atta boy. Keep working on Phonzie. https://insidefutbol.com/2022/11/16/newcastle-united-aware-of-canadian-talents-admits-canada-boss/585381/

Barton was banned for 35 breaches. He bet over a thousand times. Edit: take it back. Misread the fa statement. It does say 232 bets essentially https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/apr/27/joey-barton-football-association-ban-gambling

Feck me. Will pick him up on a free once his ban is lifted in a year.

Didn't notice the Chronicle linking us with Jonathan David again last week. Seems unlikely to me. A good long term Wilson replacement though maybe to play off Isak but unless he is playing AM I don't know where he fits in this year.
-
Ha. True indeed.

I would have taken Rooney TBF. However I'm all for setting up a cheeky loan bid for Ekitike and then pulling out at the last minute when he is at the airport. Wish him well but that ship sailed.
-
But the sub windows had passed.
-
So we couldn't make any more subs and sent Lascelles out purely for the shitehousery. Well played. I'm not into the dark arts but after decades of being generally the nice guys, taking zero shit all round is refreshing in the least. Shearer, Batty and Pearce would have loved playing in this team. Bowyer and Barton would have taken it too far.
