  1. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12433083/bournemouth-midfielder-david-brooks-diagnosed-with-cancer Yep, poor sod. Hope he gets through the treatment and back to playing.
  2. So bloody excited for him to work with our players. While the majority of our squad is likely an absolute write off can't wait to see if Howe and his team can actually turn some of our players around. Joelinton - Can Howe find the right role or get the best from him? Hendrick - How can he have been courted by AC Milan and Manure before we signed him lol. Can't believe there is anything there. (still rather not see him again, except leaving in January to another club) Longstaffs - Too far gone? never actually that good? or redeemable? Interested to see if Howe can turn them around. Lewis - Poor sod came to us with a world of potential, then got bruce'd. Huge worry he hasn't any really meaningful minutes, even off the bench. He must be completely broken. Fraser - What a player he was a Bournemouth, hope the wee man can stay fit and find that kind of form again. Almiron - So much potential we haven't seen and wouldn't think possible from watching him at the weekend. Its there though. Lascelles - Went from absolute leader touted for an England call up to almost a liability. I expect we will see the usual Shelvey getting his shit together and trying for a bit like he did under Rafa, it ultimately won't last long though. I think Hayden and Willock will benefit massively from Howe too, the both have the technical skills and education from Arsenal, with the right instructions and training I think they will be huge. Will be interesting to see if Schar and Fernandez come in from the cold or not.
  3. Think there has been a ton about Rangnick posted already elsewhere, couldn't find much for Henrique in terms of videos. Here are some of the others linked (minus Overmars as that seems unlikely now) Michael Edwards (was at Portsmouth at the same time as Howe which might explain the link up last week and in the past) Also he has reportedly said he is leaving at the end of the season/his contract - linked to Real Madrid Paul Mitchell Luis Campos Couple of years old but has a few or our linked names but not all We will end up with Jason Wilcox after all that Hope Wilcox was interviewed for Academy Director.
  4. More Ramsey links with Juve looking to cancel his contract. Seems like a red flag signing injury wise to me.
  5. Just teasing. I wouldn't bother watching that 18minute one though. Essentially saying Conte and Mourinhos returns didn't work because they wanted their own players and were too big personalities that left emenalo feeling his work was useless and created lots of friction. Crazy how many fans were celebrating his departure like it was Steve Bruce though.
  6. We are on to a winning with pretty much all the names linked. Interesting Howe was visiting with Edwards this past week though.
  7. Found more KaKa propaganda.. If he hasn't had more than 3 interviews we know it ain't happening..
  8. ASM will be spinning the wheel alot I think.
  9. Emenalo is the sexy choice but my Liverpool mates always rave about Edwards and the transfer team there. They were in for Lewis aand rated him to develop but Norwich priced him too high. Got Tsimi instead who is now arguably their best LB. Either seem great. Campos/rangnick or Henrique too. Hope it's sorted over the next week or so. Would be another big boost.
  10. Can see some permanent signings but whomever comes will likely have a relegation release clause. Being cut adrift vs being out of the relegation zone or a point or two away will make a massive difference. It's going to be a fascinating, gut wrenching, nervous, likely frustrating but exciting time. Oh to feel something for the club again. It's slowly coming back!
  11. Players have today and tmrw off according to Jones. They will announce Howe tmrw. Will start with the players Tuesday imo.
  12. Favre or Fonseca have got to go somewhere right? Doubt nuno will go straight back in but you never know. Could definitely see him at Southampton if villa went for the Hass. Fair few options out there.
  13. Started brightly but just descended into headless chicken mode with amnesia in terms of controlling the football. He should be a number 10 for sure. Didn't help he was making up for Hayden hiding and shelvey being shelvey in the first half. With some tactical discipline and coaching he will be back quickly on course. He is best behind Wilson imo but unless Fraser miraculously comes back to his best I think it's more likely he and ASM man the wings. Willock behind Wilson.
  14. We will know and see pretty quickly whether this squad is coachable and up for the fight. If they aren't Howe won't make a difference. I think that was the biggest worry today. Not just the basic lack of skill or confidence, players looked like they simply didn't care in that first half. That is a worry with everything we have going potentially for us. You would think they would have a boost and spring in their step. Big couple of weeks training.
  15. 7 Heart says lower but looking up there are so many teams with squads that can put together a run. We are so brow beaten. The feeling of we should get 3 points from "x" team is such a distant memory. There are very few teams I have that confidence about if any. On the flip side it's still early enough in the year to turn it round and help will arrive in January. It's a mammoth task though, not impossible but we have alot of factors to fight against. Thankfully Ashley and Bruce aren't two of them anymore.
  16. Yep. Seems more beneficial to recall him. Hopefully sacking Shola in the process
  17. Considering how badly it's supposed to be going. Maybe we will recall matty. He is still young enough he doesn't count on the registered squad isn't he?
  18. Don't think he has made it about him tbh. He isn't the one asking the questions or putting the narratives out there in the press. He has been pretty humble imo. Happy to have him remain as a coach as stated before. Think he has a lot to offer in that role.
  19. Thought the same tbh joelinton was OK. Though willock would come on after but I can see why he kept shelvey on, the game opened up which is the perfect/only environment for him and Hayden was never coming off. Wilson was gassed, ASM pretty impudent but you keep players on that can change the game like they can with a quick chance. Willock should be a huge part of the team after the break though.
  20. Saw some defensive effort today in the back end of the game. It's not natural for him but I saw it, which tells me he will try. My worry like most is him clashing with Howes work ethic but as mentioned above, if it's attitude that's a problem then he has no future here with where we want to go. Fingers crossed, this could be the making of the man.
  21. Can see Brighton plummeting like a stone down the table tbh. Thought they were pretty poor, granted I know we drag teams down to our level sometimes.
  22. Games like the second half are perfect for shelvey. Lots of space and time to actually impact a game. Shame that rarely happens and he is fucking liability for the rest. Can't wait til he goes but get the feeling this isn't the last of him for us just yet.
  23. Nice to see him looking fucking livid after the match and sticking around to watch the players post game. This poor sod and his mates have an absolutely mammoth task to change professionalism, reinstall the footballing basics and change a culture so many of our squad has been comfortable with. On evidence this season there are too many not interested enough, I hope he can get through to enough to give us a good chance here this season.
