At least we will have the satisfaction of also losing to the mackems again next year.

Zero excuses for Bruce and co. Had we made the "Jones" adjustments at the start of the season we could have easily picked up another 3-9 points. Injuries happen and it's part and parcel on the game. We planned poorly, didn't sack Bruce or replace him, didn't bring in enough players that could improve us while relegation rivals did. Let's not forget letting Lejeune out on loan. We couldn't have shot ourselves in the foot more accurately. So much so it doesn't feel like an accident but knowing the stupidity of how our club is run, no one should be surprised.

Unbelievable our luck after working so hard for a draw against West Brom. We deserve better.
-
What the fuck are Liverpool doing. Klopp simply doesn't have a plan b does he. Frightening. Fair play to Fulham. It is likely us or Brighton. Both look far better than us, everyone fit or not.
-
Thankful for the reassuring commentary team telling us Bruce has been relegated several times from the premier league but does hold the record for the most promotions into the league. Thanks for that. A notion of Bruce staying in charge in the championship that is so comforting.

Aye. Best of a bad bunch.

Must win. Can't score. -
All over. Huge for both sides tomorrow.
-
Huge goal for us.
-
Will be us, west brom sheffield united. West brom wont catch Brighton or Burnley.
-
Huge win for Southampton if it sticks. The walls are closing in.
-
He also expects us to stay up. Expects the players to win games with zero tactics, expects fans to love him because he is a geordie etc.. Nowt to see here. If we lose tmrw it wouldnt surprise me to see him removed.

Who hires people for the academy ffs. So many "big" hires and reshuffles and the same result.

Mental pinball at the end

9.5 No club with this amount of baggage be it the takeover, injuries, players revolting, Steve Bruce just being revolting can do anything but go down when they are in a relegation fight. So much negativity. We are entirely dependent on other fucking up, gifting us goals and losing around us. Can't see it.
-
A leak, a mole you say. SHHH
-
It's win win for Bruce. We go down, he uses these injury excuses, we jam it and stay up somehow and he will be hailed as a savior in impossible circumstances and we will be showered with 'I told you so's" from his pals.
-
Well at least Miggy's injury was better than initially feared. Doctor Nick was going to take his leg off completely apparently.
-
I mean what else would spur you on like soul crushing news we are stuck with Ashley and the only hope of turning back into a football club that has a hope of being competitive has been taken away. I can see why they would do it. To be fair they should have said the takeover relies on you the players to keep us up. If we go down it's your fault. "Why are you just looking at me when you say that?" "Its ok Jonjo. Of course we mean everyone" "you are doing it again."
-
Championship will be the making of the man. He will score for fun, against us in the league when we loan him to Luton and pay 90% of his wages for the pleasure.
-
Yes absolutely imperative these behind closed doors takeover talks in the background, involving no one that has anything to do with the day to day running of the club are halted at once. Staying up is a priority now. Just not when we could have got a decent manager or bought game changing players in like our relegation rivals did. This could be a difference maker. I took have decided I better stop working until we sort this mess out. Every little helps.

So interesting In the summer he’ll state he never said which March. You can mock but time will tell my friend. A hope that can last an eternity.
-
To be fair to his shot there was a) contact and b) he didn't pea roll it. So definitely an improvement. It is just bizarre to be a striker but zero hunger for scoring goals. He has some nice attributes to his game but none of the pre-requisites to being a striker and not enough to be anything else either. He definitely offers more to the team than Gayle but he is still ultimately a waste of starting position. Seeing as we don't have much else left he is likely going to be in the team at the weekend.

Absolutley gutted by this. Someone that really cared about the club. A warrior of a player and got us out of the shit as a manager. Ultimately was never the man for the big job but always presented himself with class and diginity. RIP.

Getting Manquillo back will be huge. Fernandez back for west brom too. Will depend on Miggy and ASM for sure. The game changed the minute Miggy first got injured. Feels like the first relegation when we had injuries.
