Not sure its a case of questioning anything. It is definitely happening and not an Ashley hoax and there will be a result one way or another. There are too many legitimate reasons it could be done tomorrow, already or still take another week. Just because it takes longer doesn't automatically mean the news is negative at the end either. Everything is conjecture at this point and there will always be half glass full to every half glass empty story. For instance, it likely the PL string it out to "show" they took everything into consideration and thoroughly investigated everything. Nothing to say it is not sat in the done pile but they are holding off because of the furore over the past week. On the other side maybe they want to rush it through before more negative press comes through lol. I'd suggest doing what you can to take your mind off it, buy FM Manager, take up knitting. Obviously I don't take my own advice and will be hitting refresh every two minutes and continue working myself up into a stupor.

Keegan and Rafa back at the club... Hughton back in the set up for the win.

Just going back to this , does this suggest that even when the prem checks are done and say we passed would we still not head till money is transferred, as he is saying there another few days ? Yes. Deposit is paid. The prospective buyers wont pay the rest until the PL give the all clear. Normal business. Assuming 300m isn't a simple e-transfer which is why it takes a couple of days. Plus likely other procedural stuff with the hand over and confirmation.

Jetro Willems (now playing for Deportivo Castellón)

Love Willems. Definitely have him over rose. Not that I would complain if we keep rose too. -
Tino being fed lines with the "done really well with limited resources" propaganda popping up yet again. Did well under limited resources should be the tagline of those spreading bs and finding reasons for Bruce deserving to stay.

Wouldn't be Newcastle under Ashely without all of this. Will be a much bigger story if the Premier League block this than if they let it go through. They will not want what would follow, just like the Government taking a backseat. It will become an international/political nightmare. Especially with the current climate. Seeing what happened in Manchester and what this investment might bring to the community, and potentially employment, the Government will likely want this to go through as much as the premier league. At any rate it comes down to their process and wording for the testing not morality. If they fail them with even a shred of doubt or ambiguity the premier league would be ripped a new arsehole in court.

Sorry if Giggs but have they said what happens to players out of contract and the transfer window coming up? I'm assuming the league wouldnt allow new players to be registered for the matches played to end this season. But if it happens and after july can clubs extend contracts of players to complete the season or will some sign elsewhere or walk away. Seems sketchy.

Some Reddit ITK saying Ashley's side are furious that the deal hasn't been announced yet as it's as good as done But its not done? so why announce?

I think both Longstaffs would be worth keeping and building around tbh. Both at different times have shown they can play a good ball across the field, and I think both have a handful of goals in them under a more positive/capable manager. I'd definitely rather keep both of them ahead of Shelvey. 200% With a decent manager and better players to work with and learn from I am sure they will look like different players.
