Exactly. Here's the thing, Stavely especially has been trying for two years. There is no way they dont have a shortlist and in my opinion little chance they dont have a manager lined up.

Harsh on pidgeons that. Elliot did his best.

That's the one above all. Exactly. It takes something to actively break a fan base. Even with new ownership it will be hard for some fans to ever come back. Never have I been more ashamed yet more happy to go against every fiber of my being and cheer against the team I love. To think it still got worse after Pardew left. Being always a half step away from fixing things. Ashley could have been loved so easily. But Ashley gonna Ashley. Good riddance.

Love the positivity and excitement Centre Parting brings about the club and the future. Nice audio interview in the Chronicle and loved the video one he did last week.

My fear with poch are that he isn't a closer when it counts and secondly unlike Rafa this would likely be a stepping stone for him. However in comparison to Rafa and Allegri we would be getting a return of the attacking football we have craved and will undoubtedly be in for a great ride. His record with youth and commitment to growing English footballers is a huge plus too. To make that next step to a real/Barca or international football Poch would have to do well here and win something. Following his Spurs exit he has a point to prove. On a trophy hunt and many levels we are a great match. It is hard to see past Rafa. He makes so much sense on so many levels. Poch draws a line in the sand and a fresh start. Maybe one we need.

I’ve got a load of tins from Beavertown. Their Lupuloid IPA is superb. As is Gamma Ray. I have some Cobras and Asahi in the fridge also. Dusted off the Woodford Reserve to make bourbon sours, as well. Hopefully this goes through for the weekend. I've liked all of I've had from Beavertown I do have some cans, Chicago/Michigan staples Oberon from Bells Fist City from Revolution Bodem from Half Acre First city is good. Havent tried the others.

Lots depends on if the season will restart, when it restarts and when the takeover is confirmed. Makes most sense they stick with Bruce in the short term but everything is possible and depends on many variables. If the takeover is confirmed this week, players don't start training until the end of May and they have someone already lined up, available and prepping for the job they might pull the trigger from the start. The risk of a negative effect on players is minimal, unless its Rafa. Players will want to impress the new boss and win their place for next season. If its Rafa I could see the likes of Shelvey, Gayle etc. that know they are first out the door dropping their game. On the flipside lots of others will raise their game and be excited about the future. If the new owners have a manager ready to go, don't fuck around being nice to Bruce imo. As much as some people will think its nice he is getting a chance, its worse to string him on and potentially damaging when a new manager can get settled in and already start the hard work and shaping ahead.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52439018 - Aiming for June 8th start - Players back in full training May 18th - Arsenal, Brighton and West Ham have already opened the training grounds to players for individual work. They aim to play in stadiums but could be played at training grounds (not sure of the advantage - unless everyone plays at St. Georges. Could see them pushing it through and having to abandon it soon after it starts to be honest.

lovely work. Love this. Essentially means it can still be SJP. Not a fan of moving somewhere and losing all that history and feel. This would be a happy medium if its possible.

Doubt R.E.M. will ever get back together, they did things properly in terms of sharing the songwriting royalties etc, so none of them need the money. Aye, maybe one day for a benefit gig or something? They were always a proper band for me the minute I started getting into them (early 90s along with Nirvana (found their music first)), in it for the music the most and to a man they all seem like top people with no real egos or their own self interests to ruin any music legacy. Again Stipe is up there with Kurt and Keegan as idols of mine. They all got me through some tough times as a teenager/young man in the early to mid 90s. If only Kurt never died I’m sure they would have collaborated and produced some amazing stuff Saw them live in 1984 on the life's rich pageant tour - one of the best I have ever seen and Stipe was truly wonderful Remember them playing at Old Trafford in 2003 and thinking I would catch them next time. Jokes on me. Well they did return in 2008 to perform at Old Trafford, one of their final concerts. I had moved to middle of nowhere Canada by then. Fool me twice... Stipe is bringing out a solo album though isn't he. Likely he will tour again for that at least. In terms of people I wish I had seen. Queen with Freddie would have been at the top but I was too young to have the chance. Bowie played in Manchester a bunch when i lived there. Feel stupid on that one for sure.

Allegri's style on the pitch seems a lot like Rafa's although he is a bit more flexible with changing systems depending on opposition. He is results first and has had his critics for being too defensive. Off the pitch he is reportedly well liked by players and different to Rafa in a man management approach. He obviously won juve fans over with trophies but had his struggles with his playing style. I think the attraction is obviously his success and recent success in comparison to Rafa, coupled with his availability. He has been learning English in anticipation for a potential premier league opening. Manure and Arsenal were mooted destinations as where PSG where he has a good relationship with Leonardo the sporting director. It has been reported since before December and as recently as the end of March he would replace a sacked Tuchel at the end of the season. I think the most important thing with our next manager beyond skillset is his character. We need a Keegan, a klopp a charismatic leader. Dour or reserved might work but wouldnt capitalize on the potential time to unite and mobilize our fanbase like never before, at least since King Kev. I am not sure Allegri fits that mould.

Luciano Spalletti the latest to be linked, spuriously. https://sportslens.com/report-luciano-spalletti-linked-with-newcastle-united-and-he-could-bring-radja-nainggolan-with-him-to-sjp/294896/ The DOF/Chief Executive rumours have links to both Allegri and Rafa, which is interesting and more than a coincidence. I think they are both front runners to take over. I don't think the Poch rumours are anything other than pundits and press speculating. Will feel stupid and sick looking back at this when Bruce is still here in September. Spalletti is random though.

She is a wrestling fan too Foreshadowing Sting as an ambassador tbh.

Wow what Rafa can achieve in 10 months? It is almost as though he had nothing to do with it and all this was in motion before he was appointed. Not that he wouldn't want something similar for us of course.
-
You expecting any crowds at these games? Doubt there will be fans at games until near the end of the year if at all in 2020.

Not just a Spaniard. He is THE Spaniard.

Not sure its a case of questioning anything. It is definitely happening and not an Ashley hoax and there will be a result one way or another. There are too many legitimate reasons it could be done tomorrow, already or still take another week. Just because it takes longer doesn't automatically mean the news is negative at the end either. Everything is conjecture at this point and there will always be half glass full to every half glass empty story. For instance, it likely the PL string it out to "show" they took everything into consideration and thoroughly investigated everything. Nothing to say it is not sat in the done pile but they are holding off because of the furore over the past week. On the other side maybe they want to rush it through before more negative press comes through lol. I'd suggest doing what you can to take your mind off it, buy FM Manager, take up knitting. Obviously I don't take my own advice and will be hitting refresh every two minutes and continue working myself up into a stupor.
