  1. The good: - I think Eddie loves the project here. Fans and players are behind him. - He thrives on the day to day stuff working with players that he would miss on the internationals scene. - He has unfinished business at club level - England job is a poison chalice and I expect he would have a portion of detractors from day one. The bad: - No doubt this is a truly epic generation of English talent to work with. - While you would think this would come along again down the line there is no guarantee. - obviously obscene situation last year with injuries etc. But is his job secure next year if we finish in a similar position? Does he risk missing out and being on the scrap heap in a year. The ugly: - Things have absolutely changed behind the scenes at Newcastle could be a positive or not. - Replacing him here, while not impossible, is unfathomable to me and such a huge step back. Unless Trippier has so much dirt on Simeone we can bring him in! - Either way Eddie has shown he will bet on himself. I'd think that's a positive for him staying but works both ways.
  2. Exciting times. Couple of months too late but a big opportunity for this talent pool to get someone in that can utilize them. Throw everything at Klopp imo. Even if that means an interim for a couple of months until he has had a long enough break from the game to come back. I think he would take it tbh. He has done everything at club level.
  3. I expect Eddie/the club will shut this down by the end of today or tomorrow. If they haven't I will start getting twitchy lol
  4. Rafa rumoured to be interested now. Damn that would really f**k with my head!
  5. Legend! Hope he kicked a few holes in the wall as well.
  6. What in the actual F*** Spin gotta spin
  7. 🎵 "We still believe.."🎵 Shame our manager didn't. The fact he was about to bring on Tripps and Gallagher just before they scored their second, sums up this tournament for us. Uninspiring. Southgates tactics have ground itself to this point but absolutely muzzeled and harness one of the most attacking and creative England player pools of all time. We need a change. Shame the FA have reported already offered him a new contract.
  8. Switched off. Harsh lessons.
  9. Hard to be sad about that one. Canada's B team should not be dominating Uruguays A team. Especially with two players debuting, one of which is 18 year old CB yet to play a professional game! If this squad continues to grow it has fantastic potential. Kudos to Marsch.
  10. Was Bunce linked with us previously? Solid hire. Bring on more exciting times.
  11. What the hell has gone on. Seems Columbian fans rushed the Uruguans fans. Uruguay players have jumped the rail and started fighting the fans, led my Nunez who has more shots on fans than goal. Gets clobbered too. Absolute insanity. What they hell are the security doing? Reports Nunez son was in the crowd and he was protecting him. Have only see the clips. Mad though Half the team might not play Sunday at this rate. Could see a lengthy worldwide ban for Nunez too.
  12. Why wasn't there a simultaneous announcement of the dream team of Ancelloti, Mourinho and Klopp taking over with Berhalters firing? I don't think I'm being unrealistic. Signed, Dissapointed USNMT fans on Twitter.
  13. "England with have to be at their best to beat Spain" Why? We haven't been at our best once all tournament and we are in the final lol. Uninspiring, dull, frustrating... win.
  14. Southgate only just realised Trippier was playing for us and not spurs.
  15. Unfortunate facts. We will have a few years in the championship to really develop I think though.
  16. It's inevitable though given the jump in quality league to league and ambition to get to the top. An unfortunate casualty of football being a business but not a new one. Thankfully they created the reserves to accommodate some of the younger players to let them grow.
  17. Signing another ex-mackem. Worrying.
  18. Still think he is the perfect Wilson replacement and rumoured $25m is nothing. Had a dissapointing Copa though. Think he is knackered. Well off the pace against Argentina.
  19. Genuinely sad if they have cut ties. Such a massive impact they have had here on and off the pitch. It does indicate more exciting investment to come though, and was always inevitable as the club continued to grow. Hoping they are able to still be involved in some capacity moving forward even if it's just in the stands. Good luck with what they have next and forever grateful. They seem like very genuine people. Hope that connection to the fans from the club continues to grow without them.
