Hope this doesnt drag out longer and we get this announced after the weekend. We need to Crack on and get settled. Hopefully 3rd time the charm. Ross seems to have the weakest c.v. out of him, ashworth and Mitchell. But seeing as other two didn't work out, its not a great guague. Having Howe involved is pivotal. Hopefully this time it works. He has done well at forest imo.

As much as I'd never rule out ineptitude at the club with this sort of thing, how much is psr related. Lots of players needing a contract renewal. Bumping a bunch of players up during the season could push us close to the brink. You would hope all that type of stuff is accounted for though rather than penny pinching by starving off contract talks a few extra weeks/months.

While he seems to come far to deep and start play with his back to goal, he is still the first on in the box through the middle. We just dont pass it back to him. The above might also be an indicative of how slow our attack was at times today but I was impressed with Woltemade coming to the halfway line to lay off the ball and then bomb it back to upfront. Fair play.

We had to hold off until he was out of contract. Now the pathway is clear it looks like we can finally put this to bed and announce our new DOF. Welcome back.

Burn is capable of pushing up and supporting but then we gamble on him being caught out and not catching teams on the break. Thiaw and Woltemade were fantastic, as everyone saw. Brunos goa was proper lovely.l We werent very convincing but deserved the win. Still lacking the right decisions on final balls and hesitating too much. Our gameplan seemed like down the right or nothing at times. Much needed win. Job done.

Echoes of the start to last season. Wolt has been fantastic but we cant involve him nearly enough. Burn done for pace a couple of times but generally solid. He offers nothing coming forward though. Our only gameplan is "try it down the right" Positives: the interplay at times involving Woltermade. Haven't conceded. Thiaw looking solid with Botman again. Sels has kept them in it. We haven't worked ourselves out yet this season in attack.

So if anything things will be tighter for the chasing pack as we more align with the Uefa one?

Interested to see how Promise David does against our defence and vice versa. He is an absolute bulldozer and on form. Think this game will be tight.

Been needing it for more than a few years at this point. We might see a hybrid once Wissa is back and Woltemade playing deep maybe.

Think we are missing any forward balls from the back lately. The backline change today maybe negated it, as did the absence of schar. But both Thiaw and Botman are capable or pinging passes and stretching play. Maybe Arsenal just managed us but we couldn't create enough space.

Thought he was largely quality today. Botman was decent too. Burn was fine. Lascells was great til the 2nd goal. Thiaw is going to continue to grow into the league. Like what I see so far.

If we have people hoping we grind out a result or get an undeserved win, that's an indicative of where we are compared to the top few teams in this league and in Europe. We all know, we have been over punching, its mentioned daily. The squad has improved but we are far from close squad wise to the best teams. Now we have injuries on the upgrade players we bought. We are capable of top 5 but it takes a lot of things going our way. This season we haven't been lucky or made our own luck nearly enough. We can point to some questionable tactics, I am not throwing pelters at Eddie yet. The set piece coach maybe. Fuck we are awful.

Form might have dropped but I think its more a case of defenders targeting and setting up to cope with him and team not creating space for him.

Well thats shit and hurts. Not surprised. We can be pissed at some ref decisions but we have been second best all game. Just being pissy at Arsenal being scummy, jammy etc. doesnt change us being in effective in attack and outmatched in midfield. At no point did we look like the better team. Losing late on, again is going to start being a mental block if we dont fix it. Though Thaiw was fantastic on the upside.
