    Will Osula

Good thread here: Most fans that replied don't expect he is ready for first team minutes in the prem but pretty unanimous he has huge potential if he gets good coaching in his weaker areas.

I think it's more a) he is injured too much and aging so people (myself included) are okay with him being moved on while we can get a decent fee. Then b) he doesn't want to be a back up player (which is fair enough) and so people needlessly question every mannerism, body language or time he is injured etc. Don't think anyone can bash how good he is when fit. He has never let us down. Type of player I'd like to see staying as backup in an ideal world, as he will be be hard to replace without spending big money. PSR ruins everything lol.

Provided we still bring in a top drawer RW this looks like a solid move. Versatile and we need a 3rd choice striker with no one in the youth teams in that position that's good enough.
  4. Encouraged Lewis got a run out and didn't look bad. Still likely off but love me a good redemption arc!
  5. Apparently the CSA say they have been doing it for years with both the men's and women's teams lol.
  6. There was a time where he was promising. Over ten years ago now. Not sure what he has been doing since lol
  7. Where did you hear this? Doesn't make sense for anyone? Can see Herdman being interested of course. Can't see them fronting the money required for Longstaff. Both Bernadeschi and Insigne signed on free transfers. After years of big signings marquee failures and Manning getting dumped, I can't see them doing in the same direction and for someone like Sean. Maybe in 3 or 4 years time?
  8. Essentially the right sided Kelly of a signing! That's maybe putting Kelly down a bit. Good versatile depth piece but not much more.
  9. Really solid experienced addition this. Love it. Hopefully we should have enough to consolidate, avoid relegation and continue building. Another promotion seems unlikely given the competition at this level but we are on a roll.
  10. The last 3 seconds.. from fun loving Isak to don't fuck with me Isak lol
  11. I thought it was reported that it was Howe that pushed for Mitchell to start with then when he turned it down we went for Freedman.. but got him in the end. At any rate I thought it was widely reported Eddie was into the Mitchell appointment? Surely Luke hasn't made this one up?
  12. The good: - I think Eddie loves the project here. Fans and players are behind him. - He thrives on the day to day stuff working with players that he would miss on the internationals scene. - He has unfinished business at club level - England job is a poison chalice and I expect he would have a portion of detractors from day one. The bad: - No doubt this is a truly epic generation of English talent to work with. - While you would think this would come along again down the line there is no guarantee. - obviously obscene situation last year with injuries etc. But is his job secure next year if we finish in a similar position? Does he risk missing out and being on the scrap heap in a year. The ugly: - Things have absolutely changed behind the scenes at Newcastle could be a positive or not. - Replacing him here, while not impossible, is unfathomable to me and such a huge step back. Unless Trippier has so much dirt on Simeone we can bring him in! - Either way Eddie has shown he will bet on himself. I'd think that's a positive for him staying but works both ways.

    England

Exciting times. Couple of months too late but a big opportunity for this talent pool to get someone in that can utilize them. Throw everything at Klopp imo. Even if that means an interim for a couple of months until he has had a long enough break from the game to come back. I think he would take it tbh. He has done everything at club level.
  14. I expect Eddie/the club will shut this down by the end of today or tomorrow. If they haven't I will start getting twitchy lol
  15. Rafa rumoured to be interested now. Damn that would really f**k with my head!
  16. Legend! Hope he kicked a few holes in the wall as well.
  17. What in the actual F*** Spin gotta spin
  18. 🎵 "We still believe.."🎵 Shame our manager didn't. The fact he was about to bring on Tripps and Gallagher just before they scored their second, sums up this tournament for us. Uninspiring. Southgates tactics have ground itself to this point but absolutely muzzeled and harness one of the most attacking and creative England player pools of all time. We need a change. Shame the FA have reported already offered him a new contract.
  19. Switched off. Harsh lessons.
  20. Hard to be sad about that one. Canada's B team should not be dominating Uruguays A team. Especially with two players debuting, one of which is 18 year old CB yet to play a professional game! If this squad continues to grow it has fantastic potential. Kudos to Marsch.
