  1. Ultimately this isn't anything we didn't half expect. It just stings right now as I think we were hopeful we would have found loopholes or ways around PSR already. We knew the ghost of Ashley and co. Would haunt us for another few years. I think we are surely around our worst and hopefully it should get better each year (touch wood). We are taking losses for each year we can't shift any of the Bruce era dross and are still 2 to 3 years away from anyone really coming through the youth system. Minteh sucks but it's certainly better than the likes of isak, Bruno and Gordon. We should be happy the Miley to Barcelona rumours haven't come back to surface!
  2. Ah. I thought it was a rolling 3 year period so come July first we write off the first year expenditure and this 30m income looks good for next year. I can't keep up. Need a morons guide to PSR. Should be out there as the opinion seems to be that it was written by morons.
  3. Seems a crazy outlay. Actually a bit shocked clubs are bidding over 30m. Huge gamble. Guess we shall see next year how good or bad a decision it was. I'm imagining while he might be half decent, that money will enable us to bring in someone at least as good. Not sure that is Elanga but it might be good money balling.
  4. Both right? Until the PL are pressured to find a different way to penalize us lol
  5. Time I turned oft the phone off lol -Gordon potentially off. - More Rattcliffe comments talking about the top 6 cartel and how everyone should bow. - Selling another homegrown so we are stunted even if we do get into Europe next season. We don't have anyone in the academy eligible for next year that's ready to step up do we? Not excited about Elanga. Counts as a domestic though at least!
  6. Will be absolutely defeated if this happens. Proper Andy Cole moment and demand Eddie appears on the steps! More annoying one of my scouse supporting mates told me this was happening a month ago and I said it was pretty unlikely. Be just as annoyed if he is right lol
  7. This whole situation is wild. It's like the Hall transfer. Some high level games going on behind the scenes surely. I'm cool with Brighton (buy back clause included). Abroad is better but Brighton is fine. Could just be hot air to drive up an Everton bid though.
  8. That's what should happen. I understand him not wanting to do that though. He still wants to be a starter every week and push for the England squad. I think that time has passed though.
  9. That's probably bring generous at 2 đŸ˜† Either way, the amount of talent that would be purchase would be a gamechanger like it was for Liverpool and to a lesser extent Villa and spuds.
  10. No clue. Here's is some Googling.. https://www.transfermarkt.us/miodrag-pivas/profil/spieler/908890
  11. Could get Sesko, Jonathan David, Tomori and Nico Willams/MGW for 160m and likely have money to spare.
  12. I'd bite at 200m, until I realized Chelsea would be spreading the payments over 200 years.
  13. He played and captained canada u20 when they beat England 2-1 years ago. It's sore point at what could have been. Literally the missing link for and exciting generation in Canada. He grew up in England though, so don't blame him. Southgate has done him over repeatedly though.
  14. Isn't this a moot point? Hasn't it been reported he has zero interest in joining us and would only leave for a club in the CL?
  15. You know the PL will be pushed to give us a higher points penalty for "deliberately doing it". Honestly if it's 3 points it's better to break it and bring in two quality players that will get us near 10 times that over the course of the season. Stupid system. They can't get mad at clubs working around it.
  16. What's with this new discourse I keep seeing on Twitter (like below) that Chelsea are alongside clubs like Villa, Everton and Newcastle and getting punished by the cartel?? Reminds me of this.
  17. That's a shame. He was definitely a positive addition but adding a more experienced coach or two with a resume coaching at the top flight is probably also needed at this point. It's a still a big adventure for Becky and most of the players but it's getting real now. They need supports and experience around them to help them survive and thrive.
  18. That's what the weight being lifted from the clause expiring will do.
  19. Going to be amazing when we celebrate passing the release clause, just to sell him for 30m more to man city tomorrow.
  20. "I'm hearing we have some news coming from SJP. Make sure you stick around after this advert break, and the next 15, to hear from Keith. Newcastle fans you are not going to want to miss this."
  21. FTM hitman with a hitlist of all N-O members. Charley returns for a visit and accidently starts a fire at SJP Plausible. Both are plausible.
  22. I'm still throwing my toys out the pram we aren't in for Jonathan David when he is available between 20-30m. In fairness he might not be interested with all the CL club interest. Eddie would take his game to the next level though we he would be the perfect Wilson upgrade.
  23. Absolutely has to be a buy back clause! I'm all for selling him to dortmund or Lyon if that is in there. Smart business.
  24. Are sky doing a minute by minute countdown and sending reporters out to each of the big clubs to drive up interest?
