  1. I'd say the next 5-10 years, likely. Guess who wins again
  2. Ah.. but that was last week..this week....
  3. As long as you ended it with... "what was I talking about again?" I think it will be fine.
  4. He’s left the training ground already has he not He left his polos in his desk draw. Just popped in to get them.
  5. Is that Rafa sucking on a polo mint? Just reacting to the local rags
  6. Simple Step one: UncleBingo logs in to the fake Midhat Kadwai account he set up. Step two: finds Rafa Step three: hit follow. Repeat process for Nufc official Step four: local press get excited. Step five: Lee Ryder gets excited two days after everyone else with an exclusive that has already been reported. Then gets all pouty when people point it out.
  7. This thread! It's on, it's off, i love you, I hate you, I love you.
  8. How's your asking 5000 for a 500 pound car theory coming along? Get back to me when you understand the difference between a theory and a metaphor. If you seriously think Ashley has been an active and serious seller for years then be my quest but I think you find yourself pretty alone in that corner. Because nobody has matched his price, not rocket science but seems a bit hard for you to understand. Unbelievably naive. It's incredibly naive and it just shows some people will believe pretty much anything Ashley wants. Wait and see and I'm going to love it when this takeover happens
  9. Tragic. Ever more so due to his managerial success this season with Orient. RIP. Thoughts to the family and Leyton Orient.
  10. It's a moot point and a non starter. Rafa is almost as much of an asset and attraction buying the club than the clubs potential. I get the bring in your own people mantra but it's pretty clear in this case there is no need. In almost every way it would be a disaster not bringing Rafa back. Immediate alienation of fans and no guarantees even Mourinho would be a success while Rafa has the players, staff and public eating out of his hand. Not ruling out a Big Sam style exit if he doesn't work for the owners though. Barring a complete clash in philosophy and support in rafas conversation with new owners he will be here. Still think however this will run and he will be out of contract before new owners are in.
  11. Yep, fair play to him if he’s gonna make things at least amusing. Next he’ll ensure joe kinnear is spotted around Newcastle. Appointing Pards DOF on an 8 year contract the day before he officially sells.
  12. Think we should be looking at at least 15m. He is 24, had a great season and has another two years on his contract.
  13. Great buy overall and really served us well. Had no more shit spells than any other player here the past few years. Wonder if he will stick in the UK or look to China. Could kill it in the MLS for a few years. We might need an entirely new midfield for next year!
  14. FFS I should have stayed away from the internet. Really feel like this is happening now more than before. Pride comes before the inevitable fall! You know they will announce a press conference for 11am Friday. Trump will finally accidentally set off nukes at 10:58am.
  15. Those hands look fake TBH. It's from 2012 apparently Does that make his hands more or less fake now? I'm more concerned they are going to accidentally drink those goldfish in the water glasses. Thats a health and safety, litigation nightmare in the offing.
  16. Amazing from Ryder. Straight from the Howard Wilkinson playbook.
  17. Half glass full...half glass empty... Full glass over head ala woodgate. It's all pontification until something office finally happens. Most people would take the sublime and ridiculous in any measure to the monotony of waiting another month to finalize the truth.
  18. A week. We got the best part of a month.
  19. Just to clarify I was laughing at the article not you! I agree hypothetically with what you said about them clearly having ambition if that was the case. The article is nonsense though. Why would they want to come in and get rid of a manager that is on par with the others mentioned and risk alienating the fans and players. If they were buying the Club Rafa would be a huge attraction. Bringing your own man is fine if you have a bog standard manager to replace.
  20. Bahaha. Why would Wenger or Mourinho be a bigger name than re-signing Rafa who is up there with both. What a load of garbage, amazing. Still got us talking and clicking and reacting though. If in doubt or out in the cold grab some straws and create bitter controversy. He obviously knows dick all.
  21. Do I get a revote on locking the thread?
  22. I feel GE's character story arc really reflects the thread and situation. He is on the redemption trail...but will it go all Jamie Lannister?
  23. I know he applied for one of the coaching jobs at NUFC last month. Too bad. I always loved Clark and thought he had great potential coaching wise and was highly thought of at one point. He always seemed to find himself at clubs where he had uphill battles and hands tied. The Brum job was a nightmare. Regardless the fact he has dropped so low is maybe a real sign of where he always was. Hope he rebuilds his career, thought it would be at a bigger club.
