Well if it turns out he ends up elsewhere I am putting the blame firmly on Yohan. Clearly hasn't tried hard enough to convince him to come to us.

Read that as Skipped to training.... la lala la la.. "Ah Mr. Grenier you have been back and forth on this plane for two days now - we have a message from your club that you are missing training" "I'm not finished reading" http://www.fff.fr/common/img/08/87/8/621x423/130602154305_2.jpg

Maybe - Tried and tested he aint though. Thought it was pretty much public knowledge Dortmund were looking to offload PEA if they got what they wanted. Still no.1 choice for me out of who we have been linked with.. PEA > Remy > Lacazette
-
Speculation he is talks with AC Milan not us. Seems much more likely.

Lambias is surely Vivacious B. Crumby.. http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080330010837/starwars/images/1/14/Salacious_Crumb_(DB).jpg

There is ? Could just be Lyon hoping to drive up our price, but both AC Milan and Arsenal have been heavily linked, which surely means others must be there hovering too.
-
Exactly... although thats giving him maybe a bit too much credit for intelligence. Pardew is clearly Count Dooku to Ashleys Palpatine
-
We are definitely hovering, we have tracked and bid for him. Just a case of getting him for the right price (as Emperor Pards alluded to) or not worrying because we have options already. Fingers crossed though.. timing seems right with everyone back in the country. Tons of other teams interested though.
-
Be shocked if we aren't sitting tight with an offer already on the table. If Arsenal/AC Milan or whomever else don't come in for him we might get a deal done. We are reasonably healthy in midfield to say to Lyon we want him but don't need to pay over the odds. Mikes wet dream. Would be such an exciting addition to give us real depth for the season, especially if we get a striker like Remy/PEA/Lacazette.

Well surely they deserve to lose rights to all of their players, no? We should be picking up freebies..

The need for Grenier is highly dependant on how Sissoko is used for me, he's the key for any midfield signing in my mind. On the wing? Then yes we'll need a playmaker who can get the ball forward quickly and not have it stick in the middle of the pitch for ages. if he actually plays CM aka his natural position then I'll start to think maybe a creative winger is more necessary. Of course none of this would be necessary if Ben Arfa was in favour but alas we are where we are. I suppose also you could say Aarons should get a chance to prove himself but I somehow doubt that will happen. Aarons will depend on what happens with the likes of Ameobi, Obertan and Ferguson..with really only Ameobi being the person ahead of him. If Sammy goes out on loan I think Aarons will get some time for us. Regardless Pards will be playing Cabella, Sissoko, Gouffran, Riviere, Cisse, Amrstrong, Perez, DeJong, Colo, Elliot all on the wings before all is said and done.
-
All depends on how much we could get him for. If it's much more than 8.5m I just don't think we will do it. He isn't the 20 goal a season striker we really need, just because he won't stay fit enough. I would however welcome him back with open arms. Should certainly be enough for us this season upfront. Then we can make a decision on cisse in January. All assuming he would even entertain the idea of coming back.
-
Surely still a non starter for ya if he is going to cost 16m or is that clause stuff bollocks? Will surely still have better offers on the table than us. An interesting development none the less...plus a bigger excuse for us to wait it out, rather than signing a striker.
-
Meh lazy journalism. He is back with Shakhtar and apologized for not coming back sooner.

Only the bestest game everest...
-
Looked proper gash like, hardly surprising when he isn't a RB. Disappointed for him, might have made the world cup squad had he stayed put or gone elsewhere.

Haidara did play well to be fair, Gouffran, Colback, etc so so.. was a pedestrian game where we looked in control and composed for the most part, a few defensive lapses aside. Trying to dampen expectation on Aarons and Perez too, because of their age. However, I think most people would have been delighted if that was a first look at two new signings that were say 24 or 25 though. Excited to see their progress and hope they don't get Pardewed like every other batch. Notice in all the talk about the new batch (Aarons, Streete, Satka, Armstrong) there is not a peep about the players he has praised and promoted in the past (Ameobi, Campbell, Ferguson, Bigi, Vuckic, Abeid).
-
It's Wellington FFs... But quietly happy about that bar potential injuries to Dejong, colo and more worryingly Aaron's. Looked positive, more so than the Sydney game. Big thumbs up to Perez, Aaron's and Armstrong. Satka looked composed, as promoted!
-
Lol didn't miss a sitter, great defending.
-
Just said the only thing he doesn't like about friendlies is all the disruptions to the game. Which is course is true but that's what friendlies are the for.
-
Boner for Perez right now. Dat control and vision!

All credit to the organizers great stuff with the tributes. Classy and touching.
