Dragged down by this club like so many others. Looks completely lost. We desperately need some leadership on the pitch. We have none at this club. Shelvey is capable of being that imo but not in this situation and so many others already giving up. He looks down and he plays like he is down.

It's no different to Williamson. Hard to fully blame the player when they should have been shipped out and replaced literally years ago.. Saylor is far past it and was reckless at best before. Peaked at his early 20s never coming close to realising his potential. Benitez ironically removed himself from his normal plan to go 4-4-2 and try and attack. I don't think going defensive would have helped us either tbf. We have no defence. I rate mbemba but he needs a leader next to him this season. We don't have one. He also looked far better as rcb than lcb imo.

Better picking the right guy for a project. This club needs completely gutting. I think the short term appointment to get us promoted could work but consistency is key if we can get the right person in. Does he have a ruthless streak still in him to do that or has he learnt from the hughton sacking which was the last time this club was actually a football club that connected and resonated with the fans. we need the new manager in the minute the season ends and Rafa walks. I hope we are already sounding people out. Not a chance. Granted. But that's what is needed. As I've said before I fully expect us to fuck around all summer like last time. Shipping players out but not much else. Our saving grace might be the fact we will relegated well in advance of the last game. Benitez will have let the board know he is leaving by then. Hopefully we don't get into a game of him stringing us along just to see if he gets the Spain gig which looks highly probably.

Obviously he is a luxury player. He can't assert himself or change a game on his own but flourishes when the team plays well anf midfield bosses a game.There is certainly a player there.. we will likely see it at whichever club buys him in the summer.

Hope he stays. He and Aarons (who we have to give a contract at all costs) on either wing are hugely important for us next year. only person in our squad that can actually shoot from distance. Been years since we had anyone that could (Raylor circa 2012?)

If he is to flourish in England the championship is the best place for mitrovic to find his feet and grow as a player. Perez will be off but Armstrong will be our big hope.

Martinez if he leaves, Rodgers, would'nt rule out Moyes being interested if we are willing to pay a manager. Could absolutely see us trying to save money on cathro or going for a tried and tested dinosaur like Bruce. Ashley and the cronies have absolutely no grasp of reality as to what this club or the fans want/need. Appointing Pearson Is another strong possibility who would be horrible just on the notion he is a disciplinarian and the club needs it.

Either way losing Janmaat and Saylor is a blessing in disguise. Lascelles will be our main CB next year he needs minutes.

Not sure who I would want to keep. Increasingly this. Anyone under 23 maybe that could still be coachable maybe? The rest don't deserve to be at any club let alone this one. He is absolutely going on experience. Hence Saviet and Doumbia being left in the cold. Problem is we have premiership experience.. it's just absolute shite like Taylor. Definitely IMO, I was ready to just accept permanent failure, so cruel to be so close to something better. That was clear from the start. The ultimate renewal of hope was always going to build for the hardest of falls. All that being said a silver lining is showing the world we can still attract top coaches.

Anita has looked iffy there in the past. Mixed bag. Leftback has been an issue all year and was the year before. We had something good going down the right with sissoko and Janmaat. Not ideal but reasonably effective. The problem is that became our only attacking outlet. We still lack through the middle but especially down the left. Sissoko playing at LB and to a point Aarons are the only times we have seen some attacking intent that comes close to matching the right. Obviously neither the left, right or centre works at the moment.
