Wow, I said it would be Mapou out no-one in but I still harbored hope we would get a replacement in. Colo, Saylor and Willow is suicide. Get used to seeing more of Dummet or Tiote in the centre when at least one of those three gets injured. Wouldn't be surprised to see us trying to get Defoe. He is a perma-crock but would likely score a few still. Not worth the wages he would require seeing how much he is on at Toronto.

Someone to play out wide right that is creative is still a priority to me. While we don't have a proven 15/20 striker, getting one means nothing when we aren't creating space or chances for them.

I think either the fact that we get someone in who is utterly s***, or no-one at all is probably going to have be better long-term result for those of us that want a club to support again. yeah its a tough one, can also see us getting no one or even getting someone good but still playing terribly. Other than being bottom two or three in December I just can't see the king being usurped by Ashley. hard to work out what to cheer for , if we are in the position of Pardew getting sacked we will likely already be doomed to relegation already. That's what surprises me with the lacazette links. Both he and rivière obligation thrive with a partner, usually that parter is a tall strong target man too, which neither rivière, Perez, cisse or lacazette are. Maybe chucky can be that man. Been fuck all service or space created for rivière to use his strengths. Same as last season with cisse. Pretty much a waste of a player during the game. Might aswell play someone somewhere else!

Absolutely cringing we went back for Remy again. I realize we probably had encouragement for one of his agents but he had clearly at no point ever wanted to play for us permenantly and hopefully now after the fourth or fifth time or asking we get that message and move on if there is any time to do so.

Quality performance, quality player. Looking forward to watching him more this season. Easily the best player on the pitch today.

Not sure what game you were watching.. was far from fucking rubbish. Certainly wasn't going to impress Hodgson, but was reasonably tidy, bar one silly foul, tackled well and filled the tiote role reasonably well. He actually spread the ball surprisingly accurately at time across the pitch too. Set pieces were hit and miss to be sure but for someone that was supposed to be playing from deep he did well IMO. Some people just want to hate regardless. (admittedly on the flipside people like to be optimistic to a fault)

This.. Although he never had a chance with our teams orders to play deep and cautious.

Same as last season. Comfortable in possession but to scared to throw players forward and do anything with the ball in the final third. Pardew won't give our striker support and there is zero creativity because we don't possess anyone in the centre or wide right with creativity in them. Our most dangerous player was our right back. Solid purchase there at least. It is going to be a long, boring and depressing season once the enthusiasm wears off.

Fully expect him to be shoved out on a season long loan, come deadline day.

As noted by others.. Tiote out, Grenier or a more direct dm replacement that can distribute a ball in would be great. Love Cheick but we could benefit from his departure IMO. Between Anita, Colback and possible even abeid we have players to adequately cover the tidy up and break down attacks position. His physicality might be missed but I'd happily exchange that for anyone creative to play from deep. Wouldn't be surprised if we are immediately linked to Diame again.

Thought he worked hard but he offers nothing as a winger as stated numerous times. Reminds me of a pacier version of Jonas circa his last two years for us. Clearly Pardew demanding he plays as a wingback. He did the same to Jonas who albeit lost his pace but was always direct attacking wise before he got Pardewed. If it wasn't for that I would be more excited about Aarons.
