  1. Once bitten, twice shy... Mike Ashley wont go back for the Francis.
  2. Will blatantly be a caretaker til the end of the season job for Hoddle or Curbishley. The kind that gives fans the glimmer of hope we will make an informed decision and get someone great in for the summer, when instead we just give it to the caretaker.
  3. Looks the business, still needs adapting but liking the sexieness of he and Santon bombing forward.

    Ketsbaia

Bloody love Ketsbaia. Clearly bonkers giving him the job here. No worse a suggestion than Kinnear, Curbishley or Hughes though.
  5. Why the fuck do we have to wait until the week ffs. Have we learnt absoultely nothing? Get him flown here tonight, fuck it fly our representatives over there and get an agreement with the player in place tonight or first thing tomorrow.
  6. Absolute steal of a price if true. Sure it will get hijacked again though.
  7. Think he will stay. Hope to god I am right.

    Alan Pardew

Can't even use the transfer window as an argument. Pretty sure whoever we want would still come regardless of Pardew being here or not. Like someone mentioned. Perfect time to do it with a week and a half break.
  9. At least we would go down kicking and screaming.
  10. On the flipside, seeing as they wont boot Pardew out it is probably better they are all still playing for him in the meantime rather than a mixed squad then could care less.

To be fair, I am not one for booing. I don't however begrudge anyone doing it. I don't think it is in anyway productive but people pay hard earned money to pay footballers wages and come and watch dross. The higher ups at this club need to know that what is happening is not good enough for this football club. I think what the players need to know from this, which I thought would have been ubundantly clear... the crowd was booing Pardew and his substitutions. Not them. When action is not taken by the people in the power to do so when the situation is drastic something will spill over. They aren't doing their jobs and we are paying for them.

This is the key difference. Back before Christmas there was a sense, from myself too that he deserved a bit more time and we couldn't just sack the manager on the first speed bump he hit results wise. We had however been playing with no attacking cohesion the year before, despite picking up goals and wins. For me at that point he deserved time to turn things around. It is certainly far from a blip now and he has in my opinion been give respectful time to show he can turn things around. Squad depth is a worry but it is not a sole reason, we should be able to beat more than half of the teams in the premiership with the players we have had at our disposal. It is time to pull the plug.

Well put. While I don't want arrogance, Pardew since the start has been so truly apologetic and far too respectful of teams coming to SJP. We should be going after everyone midtable and lower. We have repeatedly looked far too cautious like an away team playing at home. Doing things your own way as a manager is fine by me, you don't have to come out and play all out attack and apease the crowd all the time. You do have to justify and stand by the choices you make as a manager, Pardew will repeatedly stand by his tactics but is yet to justify them. While there was a uncharacteristic admission that tactics should be changed this week it is only ever at the last minute he will change heart, when points are lost and players/fans frustrated.

Absolutely right, Wullie. I do find it quite astonishing that as yet he's yet to experience any real pressure from the media. I mean, look at the stuff that was thrown at Rodgers at the beginning of the season. You then take a look at our results and wonder why Pardew's not experienced anything similar. One word - Cockney He is a cockney luvee and papers hailed him as the next thing in English management last year, when he didnt deserve it. The worm will turn when they know it will sell papers, to be fair its more fun for them to sit there and criticise the club if we do sack him and bring up the past history of managerial changes at our little joke club. But of course adding how the slightly delusional but committed fans deserve better.
  15. Agent Bruce reporting for duty... http://newsserve.net/i/20110225/146-Sunderland-boss-Steve-Bruce-calls-for-winter-break.jpg
  16. He can play anywhere across the back, it is and has been a complete no brainer signing for a long time, player interest aside.
  17. Frank Clarke available again now..
  18. I agree. I picked Matt LeBlanc. He might not get us playing great football but we will have cheeky fun along the way.

    Won the tackling..of ourselves.
  20. Dreadful second half and truly pathetic attempt for the first goal. He has fast become the worst CB I have seen play for us in some time.

I think this is probably true but where will fat Ash draw the line, defeat at Villa? Chelsea? Tottenham? There's a really good chance we will be in the bottom three after the Spurs game. Bad times He will at least get til the Chelsea game Imo. The upside with that is we might sign some fucker before then, the downside is we might sign more people if we had a manager that could attract people to the club.
