  1. Fear of attacking, fear of passing. Fucking dreadful first half, one of the worst I have ever seen. We panic in basic decisions. Ball is in the air just head it, Don't think about where it is going to go, job done. I literally give up screaming at the tv.. Hoof, random header just to divert the ball five yards further away from our net. Just bloody bring the ball down and pass it to someone. Good god do we ever need Saylor to get fit quick and keep Colo. Williamson is utter utter utter dog shit.
  2. Just keep the ball on the deck and get into space. Absolutely pointless at the moment.
  3. Happy with that line up. Guti/perch should be ahead of bigi for now. Hopefully the break will have done Guti some good.
  4. Quite frankly San Lorenzo can get to fuck. Setting us deadlines? And tapping up a player they cant even afford. Good luck with that one Colo. Hope we tell them where to go. Still think lescott would be great cover until the end of the season. Looks like we want Tompkins and another.
  5. Whitewash the cockney mafia and Ashley out banners.. We need to make don't leave us banners for Colo.
  6. Disagree we certainly need a cb and striker but a box to box midfielder is vital, we offer nothing through the centre and havent since Nolan left. It is possible cabaye could play that role but he hasn't looked like it so far. Seems to prefer to sit deep as a playmaker. M'vila would be a fantastic purchase, as would sissokho the former can play as box to box or defensive mid. In an ideal world we would get decent money for tiote and bring them both in. I think cheick will return to form though eventually.
  7. If Colo has to leave I hope we spend some money on Mbiwa or Sakho and bring Lescott in on loan until the end of the season. A young up and coming defender can wait until the summer.
  8. Him and Jonas with two fingers stuck up behind Pardews back. Would be mildly more acceptable than the last time at least.
  9. There was rumblings of this a few weeks back about a player needing to leave for personal reasons. Not necessarily Pardew or the clubs fault, although I will forgive most people for jumping on that band wagon. It will all come out in the wash tomorrow, one way or another. I have a hunch its partially nonsense. Aside from the fact that he looks happy as larry in training pictures, he has been a consummate pro on the pitch, especially if this is at all true. With that in mind, why would they release this info the day before a very important game? I'd expect there is some truth on him wanting to return home to see out the tail end of his career but the whole thing has been completely blown out of proportion.
  10. I will be honest here, If he really wants to go he will be out as soon as we get a decent price for him. I wouldn't begrude Colo anything after what he has given the club. It will be a very sad day though and a huge huge loss. Probably our most important player, he should be waiting at least until the summer, we simply can't afford the time of getting two players in and settled. Very disappointing news. He obviously is having a hard time here though to request it now. He has been out of sorts (yet still predominantly decent) for the past two months on the pitch. That said the board will be rubbing their hands with delight at getting Colo off the wage bill. If its true we need to really go all out for someone like Mbiwa or Sakho. We also need someone that would be ready for and experienced in the premiership. I would be truly gutted to leave Colo, but that is life and football. I'd hope we bring in Lescott til the end of the season (with Man City paying most of the wages). Then get Mbiwa. In reality we will end up with a youngster from abroad with huge potential that will be smashed into smithereens by us because he won't be given the proper time to settle.
  11. box to box midfielder before left back cover for me like. You would think going for Mbiwa is a no brainer. CB and LB/RB cover. Not saying he would come to us though, but we should certainly be in there if he is available.

  13. Cisse wants to know as well, by the looks of it. Clearly Ashleys joint answer to our CB and Managerial problems.
  14. . The truth will probably bubble up to the surface at some point.
  15. Or not, could be a good player. Never know. Big lad. Pardew wants a target man type, so wouldnt be surprised if that MLS striker link is legit. His latest comments about getting a striker that would help Cisse's game sounded like he wanted to partner him with someone. Also went on about wanting someone with power and pace. We were after De Jong and Carroll in the summer window moreso than any other striker it seemed. It looks like the idea of getting a striker /winger type like Remy and Aubameyang was more of the fall back option, which would then mean having Cabaye behind Cisse. Pardew wants to go 4-4-2 it looks like. He wants his lump of flesh up top. Seems an unlikely one. Isn't he out injured until at least March? http://www.boston.com/sports/soccer/blog/2012/09/revolutions_sae.html

    Loïc Remy

Be bloody happy with that. A box to box midfielder is almost as high up my targets list as a cb and striker. Not that we know anything close to the true story but i would be hesitant in signing anyone that isnt itching to pull the shirt on. If Remy truly isn't arsed about joining us then we will probably see a similar attitude on the pitch further down the line. If Aubameyang is going to be a few million cheaper and looks to be keen, I'd rather we did that and tried to get in a young forward/winger like lukoki. Nailed on to sign a central midfielder !! Funny you say that because The Times are saying we are in pole position to sign Moussa Sissoko

    Loïc Remy

To be fair we needed another striker in regardless of ba leaving. The days of having three or four quality strikers are firmly behind us. We can certainly make it to the summer with one more incoming striker, if we are lucky. But clearly need at least one more. Hopefully we can finally shift shola, xisco and ranger although it wouldn't surprise me to see any of them leading our line next year.

    Loïc Remy

We have been linked iirc. More so than the Gouffran link, which was just a paper putting two and two together saying he was available and we might be interested.

    Alan Pardew

That said, probably would have said the same before Hughton was canned. Doesn`t really fill me with confidence mind. I am sure, given the contract and faith they have thrown at him, Pards will be given the season at least.

    Loïc Remy

Cup tied i would think, Marseille have played in the Ropa this season. Did some digging..not sure what the hell happened in here while I was doing that. Remy could play for either German team in the Champions League and wouldn`t be cup tied. So obviously CL would be a big pulling factor. Among other things, such as us actually bidding and offering acceptable money, him coming here depends if he has set his sights on playing in the Premiership, Germany seems a no brainer otherwise.
