Yep player power going crazy again. Yet again another rule change that just pushes players towards the richest clubs and tightens the grip around smaller clubs knecks. Sod signing a LB in the summer we need to be getting ourselves a billionaire and fast!

From the limited amount i have seen of him Piquionne looks a bit like a pacier younger version of Kanu. Babel seems the better of the two just through potential, but I think Piquionne will add more to our season. Guess theres always the phone call from Willie Mckay for us to look forward to tmrw, might have someone we can get in for nothing to get injured for the rest of the season.

Boum lost the plot when his personal life went to hell, yet he was still looked upon as the guy to hold up the team. All he needed was someone to look up to and carry the load, unfortunatley for both of us he didnt have that and went to pieces.

SNN's reported yesterday that he would be here this morning. They havent said anything today as far as im aware. Just a case of SSN either jumping the gun or being full of shit again.

I Thought it would be a lock for Blackpool to get it, they need it the most. Goverment is really pushing Manchester, BBC heading to Salford, Its a great city, but im suprised it didnt go to Blackpool which could have turned the city around.

Given our history in the transfer window the longer the confirmation is taking the worse this place is going to get. Wouldnt be the first time the window slammed shut in our face knocking our teeth out. That said it took about the same time for Sol Campbell to stop looking like a complete donkey, although sometime he has to oblige. Its a known fact Bramble needs a leader next to him, thats why he looked great alongside Woody and to an extent Boumsong in his first season, the minute boumsong lost all confidence (and apparent talent) the partnership was useless. Whether Gooch can fill this void who knows. Although the fact that Bramble has managed to perform without a leader next to him on more than several occasions is cause for hope. But how many chances does he get?

Bramble is a far superior talent to Ramage. But when will he learn? like Yorkie said 3 different managers and he still hasnt cut out the errors that are holding him back. How many chances does the man have, how many goals does he have to give away? Ramage has had a mare the last few months, but he has a good 4 years of errors before he catches Bramble up. Personally I think Moore will be off, Bramble will do enough to earn an extension, we will loan Hunty and Edgar out, buy Davies or similar and have a central defence of Taylor, Bramble, Gooch, Davies, Ramage, Bit of luck we will ship out Carr and Baba and get in a couple of LB's and a decent RB.

Like you say, getting Piquionne in tmrw is the first port of call, Babel should be a bonus if he is as good as the hype. We should be straight out looking for a LB after Piquionne, nay we should be breaking down Manures door to try and get Heinze..although I could very well see that turning into a Bridge/Cole situation like last window. Collocini would be a bonus, not least for the cover he can give a RB, i dont think we are interested though especially with Carr back and Nobby excelling. Who knows what can happen in the next 50 and a half hours and who might be available, its also possible some of the offers we put on the table but were pushed back might be back on.

Who is to say we arent trying to get them both? We wanted 2 strikers initially, Id say we are trying for Piquionne and then if somehow we manage to get Babel we will take him too. That said im sure we will be told tmrw by anal neither are targets.

Doubt anything will be confirmed until the morning, especially if we are indeed bringing another player in tmrw. Although they might put something up later to say he is set to sign tmrw after the medical was passed. That is if he passes it and agrees to the whole arrangement.

Think he will be able to cope in the premiership? who is he comparable with?
