Adidas being subtle with 3 stripes used on the cuffs and collar. Absolutely perfect.
-
he did it again the other week.

such a hilarious yell by Ritchie.

Wirtz is an amazing talent but for that type of fee you're paying for someone who you believe does at minimum what Salah does in G/A

Back when kits weren't made to fit within some over-panel'd seamed up mess...back when adidas wrote out their logo, and a proper polo collar just looked class, stripes were simple. Yorkie knows I am obsessed with this kit. It's perfect.

Def need a CM, preferably one who is more attacking - has a dribble, pass in him.

I assume we will eventually have white shorts and socks for alternate usages?

Dennis Praet for me like.

If you’re going to sell Pope, it’s this summer.

with a couple of players worth more than betis on club valuation. Oooooo great job Chelsea! Vile cheating club man. They deserve nothing.

Bang on. Which continues to be ignored by people!

Isak's goal may be the best moment of my Newcastle supporting life, particularly being there in person. My wife flying into my arms, the limbs around me....

I don't think Eales is a bad guy by any means and am very thankful for all the hard work he has done for us. I will, however, not give him the pass, if he's the one reportedly uneasy over Mehrdad and Amanda's relationship with Howe. They put the deal together to buy the club, never gave up, fought the PL, bought the club, hired Eddie, and supported him, the players and club staff in almost a start-up type way and worked their bollocks off to get us CL. They also hired Darren too ffs. It seems like Eales went way too far with this sporting director thing and it was never going to mesh with the manager's way of thinking.
-
Unreal talent, so bloody aggressive in defense and attack and it's just really a joy to watch. One of my favorite ever players.
-
100% agree with this. Eales was so very tight with Howe and supportive of him and yet he brings in a complete miss of a sporting director after Dougie Freedman didn't work out. Very very odd decision to think that would go over well with Eddie. Didn't consult him, didn't give him a heads up. Strange.

There's literally nothing in Eddie's CV or personality to ever think he'd want a yes-man. When you give him plaudits for coaching, he immediately mentions JT and his staff. Just go and look up his stage speech after we won the cup final. He thanks his support always, and singles out JT as basically being his collaborator.

Goes and gets pneumonia, we win 2 matches and lose 1, comes back and still secures CL and takes back control of recruitment. Fucking ace.

I still believe Mehrdad and Amanda were unnecessarily scapegoated for the PSR thing anyway, Eales was here during that time, as was our CFO, as was Jamie Rueben and the PIF overlords. It's always been a stupidly convenient thing our fans tend to do. We had an entire executive leadership team fully aware of the rules and math behind the calculations, but our fans love to find ways to point fingers at Amanda and Mehrdad. The issue has always been they club likely assumed more commercial revenue, less PL restrictions and a few decent sales or two - those never happened as the players who were deemed surplus absolutely fell off a cliff and the buyers never surfaced. Anyway, good riddance to Mitchell. Hopefully our fans' weird obsessions over a fucking sporting director, who hasn't been relevant in the last 3-5 years anyway, dies officially today.

I for one, feel for Manchester United's players and coaches, the ever so lovable Villa defeating nice guys that they are. The club itself can get fk'd mind you.

Yep, you and Dropout are spot-on IMHO. Many teams this season the desperation has forced us into very poor mistakes and led to us not getting results. It's something I think we are continuing to work on. It's why you need Trippier in these situations, who has his way of calming us the fuck down when it starts getting frantic for no good reason. I still would like to see us sign a creative midfielder who is older in his career, 1-2 year deal, for matches like Everton or crucial matches where that calmness + guile are needed. I believe more often than not, when you see us playing flat, mistaken prone football that it's like a 50-50 or 60-40 or 40-60 fatigue to mentality thing for us.

"design culture differences"

I reckon if the "Fairs Cup" was called something differently then it would be held in greater esteem now. The Youts don't know ball.
-
Yeah, I appreciate that he has pace, good passing and ball carrying ability - something we desperately need in our back line. I'd like to see a fully fit Botman get a little more aggressive in his long passing, but his short passing is immense and he's definitely got nearly all of it in his locker. We all probably just need to accept there is no CB like Fab Schar in football, a total unicorn in his aggressive ball playing.
-
Give it a rest. He’s leaving ffs. Onward.

I’m still not all that convinced by him but trust Eddie.
