Hoy the 0.0 on your mockup mate. this is the most shit fucking kit imaginable. It’s a joke. Not sure how the club would even sign off on this one and say “aye this is a good idea. This will sell loads”

Here I was thinking Osula was left footed.

Yeah I agree in general though. There is obv a bigger picture than just being deal men, your best DOFs are strategic thinkers. Ideally, they take the consensus pick and get it done or are the tie breaker and get that done. The larger than life ones (Mitchell) seem to have a heavier hand in talent ID + their directional belief of what the team looks like. Ashworth to me was big picture guy, strategic thinker. You use the 19yo left back example a lot. The thing that I want to stress there is that Hall wasn't ready to be first choice and Dan Burn at LB made sense in that we were basically a back 3 with Trips pushed up; nothing you haven't seen out of top sides who play CBs in the fullback positions. But what I think is crucial is Ashworth had the ability to convince all stakeholders that signing Hall (and Tino) was for the better for the long-term. Howe absolutely will listen to that line of thinking. We also had Amanda and Mehrdad pushing ownership to look at higher quality and then got on the horn to break log jams. I promise you, Amanda would have gotten Guehi done. She would have gotten one of Joao Pedro, Ekiteke or Sesko done. But in any case, I digress - Eddie has no issues working with DOFs, I think he was wrong in his summer transfer business last time around and would like to see him focus on what he does best going forward. But he does and can work with a DOF. We just got the last one so horribly wrong that was doomed at the start.

Remember Wilson and Ashworth are deal men they aren’t scouts. They lead the function but they rely on their scouts. Wilson has Nickson. Ashworth had the Star Lizard engine at Brighton and Nickson here. Our hope here is Nickson the absolutley brilliant talent ID man is backed for his recommendations.

Their lack of dominating CF is their major issue, including their spacing and play style. If Nick was more poacher / 6 yard box hawk then they’d be set. It’s just really odd given the embarrassment of talent they have. However, they could pop off in the WC and make a run imho. Feel like it’s of something just clicking for them.

Should force our kit to be a heritage asset, must be simple as fuck black and white stripes. leave the creativity to away, third, etc.
-
looked fucking class there, Paris at home in the CL.
-
Tonali in theory should be able to do most of Joelinton's role
-
Honestly he has not been very good at all since Barca at home. He looks shattered physically, made numerous mistakes since then. Lad needs some rest. To be upset you aren't playing is one thing, but nobody is blameless in this. Burn was rightfully dropped when he was playing horrible and has come in and scored a goal and played well at home for us. We needed the result. Hall is the absolute future at LB for us and I'm sure the club is well aware of that.
-
Let’s go get Nusa for the LW position.
-
Ya cocking up a pass that got deflected close enough to barnes to then do everything to score that goal isn’t a fucking assist. Lord Christ.

Nick Woltemade would be a terrific striker if he's got dynamo left and right wingers who are goal seekers. Ie: if he's got a Kvara, Olise, Luis Diaz, Doue type of profile player (to a less world class extent of course) then his ball playing, creativity etc is really good. Those two wide players would need to do the main pressing and Nick's role in that would just need to be less taxing on him given his lack of pace.
-
If we were to move on from Howe, he was my #1 choice. I really rate him.
-
the issue is some of those players would happily go to either 3 of those clubs as they will have a clear development an sell-on policy.
-
Gah damn that is awesome.
-
This feels like the end of the Howe era and it’s making me sick to my stomach. All those memories last few years, the ferocious fighters on the pitch, the pride of supporting a team that played as passionately as we support the team…this one hurts.

Elanga is so bad
-
We are so fucking bad from out wide, I know many on here feel the same. Watch any decent football side today and your wide attackers are basically are the key.
-
I love this “outgrown” narrative players’ camps throw out like he isn’t massively part of our overall issues in general. He turns up in some* big games, can be so bad he can’t control a football or complete a pass, has an inflated goal tally due to penalties, and when you’re level or down in a big match this season rarely has Gordon taken the match by the scruff of the neck and turned 0 or 1 pt to 1 or 3 points. See: Dembele v Liverpool two nights ago. Diaz and Olise last night. If you’re a modern attacking player those are the standards, those are dynamo talisman who change matches just like that. Maybe he was on track to be that player before the Liverpool saga two summers ago, but he’s far from that now. Outgrown? Ha, lots of growing up to do lad.
-
Ah man, having 2 dynamo wingers like Bayern have is the absolute best. Some of us on here have been saying for ages that is literally our achilles heel when you dont even have Isak. Ineffective wingers are fucking rancid.
-
this is box office.
-
this season at least, but our brand of football is vomit compared to this stuff.
-
we play an entirely different sport to these
-
Kane, so fucking clincial.
