I am forever thankful PIF saved us from Ashley via Amanda and Merhad’s persistence + the Reuben family last name giving PCP more credibility and ALL they have done post Ashley that has led to a domestic trophy and the memories and such but I’d be lieing if I said I am still happy with them. Truthfully think they are a poor football owner. Slow and process driven the way they do things is not how football business works. It requires an unconventional approach and an unwavering hunger to be as aggressive at as possible in every single department. Windows close fast in football because you deal with players with shelf lives and it’s a sprint of the same 25+ clubs in arms race to trophies.

You have to balance the talent and youth with leadership and mentality. Not often does that come in one package so has to be linked together. Given we signed nobody for many windows and then signed 5 without that in the last summer we failed miserably there. The you add th Isak loss + the aging out and you see why we are where we are. Anderson would be a pretty natural Bruno heir imho too. Anderson at LCM, Bruno at RCM and a new DM or Miley as the 6 would be a really interesting midfield 3. You could also play Miley and Anderson in a double pivot with Bruno as a 10. You could play Miley and Bruno in a double pivot and have Anderson as a 10 too.

Exactly. I love Eddie and have been one of his biggest supporters on here, and that is sort of the lens I’m looking at those comments. Do I like them? Fuck no. Honestly really weird for the media to even ask that on the back of the accounts stuff. However how this team performs in the final 7 can either get us into Europe or not and that matters to the club. If he lost or drew the majority of the remaining I can see more wanting him out.
