I know exactly what's going on, thank you very much. My fellow American posters on here are entitled to their own opinion when it comes to someone like Jozy playing for Sunderland - we're all Newcastle United supporters and want what is best for our club. Seriously, of all places our main striker for USA has to go, he goes to Sunderland and playing for PDC. You couldn't get any worse than that in a World Cup year when he's off the back of his best league form, and he's finally doing the business for the national side. Its a shit dilemma overall.

I maintain that he's (Jozy) absolutely dead to me unless he puts on the USA shirt, in which he must be a world beater capable of scoring loads of goals for the national team. Those of you who know me on here, for as long as i've been on here, will have already known my stance on that. I felt the same about Claudio Reyna, who was worthless to me during his spell at Sunderland, but is someone I highly rate overall. Hopefully Jozy's spell at Sunderland is short - based on my love for Newcastle United, I hope he has a horrible time at Sunderland where they absolutely fail as a club, Jozy does enough to get on the world cup roster, plays brilliantly, and then gets bought by a club I don't despise.

I'd love to sign a Capoue or better DM and not have to worry about Tiote. If Anita can develop his positioning and tackling then I'm okay with that. I don't really want Tiote anywhere near our 11 if I'm honest. Currently I'd honestly put Cabaye deep, Moussa as the dynamic box to box and Marv as the creator and call it from that. But I know tons on here will then go on and say Moussa is too attacking and not defensive and Cabaye can't play deeper but to me that's a midfield Dictating the game vs being reactive like our teams are far too often set up.

He's going to be brilliant for us this season. It'll work out.

Fwiw if puma gave us no spikes and full stripes in last years kit, so the virgin money logo simply was placed on top- it would have been one of our best in some time. With the collar and such. That inter kit is one of the best I've ever seen.

Would be fucking pissed if we let Sylvain go - Pards needs to figure out how to accommodate a starting 11 with both Hatem and Sylvain on the pitch at the same time unless we go on and sign someone better to be our creative attacking midfielder.

Good luck to him, honestly really liked him on our squad. Another deal that in theory is fine if we upgrade our "utility" man, if thats possible. Be it a more defensive utility man who can play across the back or something. I will say, there were times the bloke had immense interception and timing on his tackles - generally in matches he played very well in.

If Bent comes in and he's part of the squad and not the focal point or our leading striker AND that means we finally cut ties with Shola (who I have 0 issues with apart from he's not up to being our backup striker) I'm all for it. Bent's a ruthless finisher and really like what I've read from Brummie regarding the player. If we sign Bent, I'd be happy today. I'd be very pissed if we didn't go after a wide forward though, as we clearly need that.

I'm not bothered if we sign him. I just hope its not at the result of losing Cisse and that's our business done. I hope we are looking for a wide-type striker like Remy if Aub is going to Dortmund. I actually hate playing against Bent just like Defoe. Just figure those guys always score against us.

He's just as much to "blame" as the manager and the entire state of our club and squad. Last year was crap and so was practically everyone associated within the club, playing staff, coaching staff, and medical team. If all of this press banter continues on about him wanting out, then let's just make sure it's to a club outside of England so we don't have to get p*ssed off every time he puts in a good performance or laugh when he puts in a bad one. His "recruiting/selling" of our club to the French players is priceless to me; regardless a fantastic player who, if leaves, could have been a legend here. I really hope we don't sell him as I'd rather we keep our top players and push on with them as I've come to admire and enjoy many of our signings in the past few years.

I really want him to stay, one of my favorite players on our books and one of my favorites in quite some time - but I've already built into my head that he was on the way out and any other outcome in our favor would be a huge transfer fee or he commits to the club.
