I'm beginning to think my "passion" hasn't left, I'm just sick of the s*** being served up. Just upset at our current plight I guess and coming up with reasons why it just doesn't feel the same. If we get safety, fire AP, and etc. I bet many, many of us will sort of change our minds on everything. I hope?

I feel like such an idiot for falling for all of those lies fed to us by the Board. Supporting the 8 year contract, thinking AP was our guy and he'd learn from his mistakes last season, etc. And the few that actually know me personally on here or interact with me in the US sports threads in the chat forum know how optimistic I am about the teams I love and support, even though they are generally shit. Yesterday's draw and the quiet day at home sort of made me realize how far we've fallen under Mike Ashley. FFS I was once proud to read how well our accounts are doing and that we're posting a profit. The fuck is wrong with me? They've drained my passion to the point where a game of entertainment and a sport I've played my entire life has me clapping our balance sheet and income statements. I'm just hoping its a by-product of this shit season and that we'll be saved from relegation and we'll sack AP and hire someone to take us forward (optimism kicking in...slightly).

He looked like he was giving half effort to me. <shrug>
-
Hope he can somehow be fit for the final 2 matches.
-
Thanks for confirming. I'm praying we don't.

So Monday we've gotta hope Stoke win vs Sunderland and Tuesday we've gotta hope Swansea win vs Wigan. That levels everyone at 36 matches. With us still in our current position with 1 above Sunderland and 3 above Wigan. After that, if we get 3 points at QPR, Sunderland get nothing and Wigan get nothing - we're safe then right? As we would be 6 points above Wigan with 1 match to go? ...Just trying to mentally prepare the scenarios here.
-
Praying as well man. I'm trying to be positive and think positively. Just hope we go to QPR and thrash them.
-
Seriously, his luck? Brilliant ball, run, and the ball trickles (possibly) completely over and its cleared off the line and the lino at the same time fucking trips over his own feet. Linos have it for Cisse man.

QPR vs Newcastle Utd - 12/05/13 @ 3pm (No TV) - a win confirms safety

Should be: -----Elliott------ MD-ST-FC-MYM ------Tiote------ ---YC----MS---- HBA---------YG ------Cisse----- Apologies for the usueless usage of names and initials, terrible form on my part. -
Square ball to Ameobi? No volley off a bounce wide.
-
Should have taken 3 points there. Cisse and Gouff's chance man. Ugh. Well, hope we can get 3 points next weekend man.
-
Now another hour until kick off. Fuck.
-
Great lineup tbh.
-
refreshing like a boss
-
Soon as its kick off, I'll be clutching a pillow and literally shaking and hiding behind it. Fucking mess these match days
-
On a side note, if Orlando City becomes an MLS team; that would mean we'd get some lush MLS adidas kits. Just realized that.

Edited with that rumored lineup, again, this is a fine formation that should and could work. We are sound in defense here, we have Tiote and Jonas as DCM/Box to Box respectively, we conserve Yohan's energy as an AM and let him be more involved closer to the edge of area where his short passing and right boot could do damage and you let Hatem do whatever the fuck he can to get us a goal or create one. Gouffran can drift in the areas around the box as well. This formation can also sort of be a hybrid 4-4-2 as well.

------------Elliott------------ Simmo-Saylor-Colo-Mapou < Mapou will be fine here, he's quick and Colo will be good for him. -------------Tiote------------ <Tell this f***er to be sitting in front of the half-way line, no venturing up. He's there to stop attacks, collect ball and give back to Midfield. -------Cabaye--Sissoko----- < These 2 should be able to cause problems but also give us some even balance and shape. No more Sissoko playing behind Cisse Hatem-----------------Gouff < Hatem and Gouff should basically be given license to create havoc, find space and get goals. Would love if Marv was fit, he'd be there for me -------------Cisse------------- < Do what you do best Papisto, get us a goal. Hopefully this week's clearing the air, bad-press, etc has given the lads a chance to speak up and given Pardew a chance to see things clearer. No more Cabaye as some super deep lying quarterback, no more Sissoko playing the number 10, and no more Tiote the poor man's Michael Essien. Get back to basics there, let these do what they do best and lets fucking get 3 points and save this club from the absolute shit storm we've known as this season.

I seem to remember our Reserves would feature players who were coming back from injury to get some much needed match time, etc. We don't do that anymore do we? Haven't recalled that in quite some time.
-
and I take back what I said about the Knicks in the other thread, hope you beat Boston.
-
Give it a rest bro. Just go on and will the Knicks on to get through and don't let those awful Bucs jokes bleed into the MLS thread.
-
Also to add - I'm not against the Cosmos getting one, I just would be really upset if it was at the cost of my own city's team and we'd have to wait longer. I mean there seems to be some really positive and strong momentum to get this done here. Hopefully the side that truly matters for the MLS is building it properly. The last time they followed money and money only they failed miserably. There's a reason why Seattle, Portland and Montreal are doing so well and have become the gold standard on how to build the MLS. But thanks man, would be awesome for not only having a local team to go support, but also it would be a key puzzle in transforming the Orlando/Central Florida region.

While, I totally see your point....All of those markets already have teams. Florida needs one (again) and this time its built a loyal fan base and its being done the right way. I just don't see the need for another MLS team in New York. Not through the pocket books of 1 dude and his sovereign money, but through years of building a team, creating a fan base, lobbying local politicians to get city/state funding, etc. Some things never change, and that's about a real success story through visions, planning and local support vs. what could be another plastic lifeless club.
