  1. Burn/Livra, Joelinton, Gordon/Barnes left side often losing the ball for us as much as anytime it gets to Murphy/Elanga on the right.

I don't know if anyone noticed but he looked far more emotional for us on Saturday in that he had a few chances / passes that didn't come his way or he didn't take and he was frustrated with himself. The desire from him is 100% there and I really loved seeing that from him. He's heating up!

    Anthony Elanga

Elanga's crossing/dead ball ability far better at Forest. He had that one counter on Saturday where he nicked the ball and was bombing forward - and his control let him down and he slowed the whole thing down. When he's on form he's running full speed into the box with that and either shooting or crossing that. What he did at Forest constantly last season.
  4. He has every bit of talent in him to produce those moments and he did it 2 seasons ago when were absolutely in love with how aggressive he attacked, pressed, and created match winning moments for himself or for others. At times last season he was doing that but then he fell off form again. Quick and simple examples are we'll push the ball up the pitch, and one of our wingers has it wide - Elanga, Gordon and Barnes have mostly cut in/stayed wide and either crossed to nobody, passed to nobody, lost the ball on the dribble, or checked the ball back. They haven't caused much havoc at all and that is hugely impactful to how we attack and get others to help contribute.
  5. No stick but he’s one of key attackers now he has to grab games by the scruff of the neck and provide key moments to win points. We need him.
  6. blame is a harsh word but what I’m on about is I can’t fathom how people think the system is always wrong when it’s clearly an execution thing like 9/10 with our losses. If the players don’t capitalize on open space, can’t control a ball, overhit crosses, underhit crosses, play a flat midfield and the winner comes because a fullback makes a run that bypasses our left winger (who points to the team “get him”) nobody does, and he is tackled but the striker hits a perfect shot thru our defense past our goalie…like ffs hard for me to say ah the system is wrong. I see very expensive high paid players playing very poor football despite having played here for multiple years. proper professionals man they aren’t kids. I’d forgive the new signings on the positioning errors 100% fyi.
  7. honestly I blame the players for nearly all of it. You can’t tell me Eddie didn’t prepare them.
  8. Scuffed shots by AG, over the bar or take right footed open body shots by Barnes, and Mr transition counter who can’t cross or shoot Elanga is nothing on our coaching staff. It’s on them.
  9. im going to become a broken record fast but we’re going to live and die off our wingers and Idk if people are ready to accept thet. Gordon, Elanga, Barnes and Murphy need to either score or create nearly every match and thus far it’s Murphy who’s been the best of them all. No team survives when 2 players on the pitch aren’t doing a damn thing and currently it’s our wingers. Who created nearly every Isak chance last season? Who was the breakout left winger the prior? The minute one of them picks up their game the entire thing will flow into place. But I’ll say it now and again, if they aren’t performing by Jan window all 4 on the block for me.

    Joelinton

I love this man and would be in an alley fighting with and for him. he’s not the same player we had 2-3 seasons ago and needs to be a sub.

Respectfully disagree. As a creator of chances you don’t just play passes where you think the finisher should be, you play them where the finisher will put it away. Our wingers apart from Murph have to adapt to what Nick needs to get the ball in the back of the net.
  12. Been impossible to pass thru us in the main like that this season until today to be fair.
  13. I’d play Wolt as CF, Wissa LW and Murphy RW. Murphy’s job is to get the ball to them. Wissa also running behind.
  14. As soon as Wissa is ready to play I’d play him LW and play Murphy RW. Gordon, Barnes and Elanga are not firing at all for us and are costing us massively in attack.
  15. We’re going to have problems this season if our wingers don’t stand up and show their worth.

    Anthony Elanga

That break was supposed to be why we signed him.
  17. Bruno needed scoring early on. Disappointed with our CBs for allowing that fucking Wellback goal.

    Lewis Hall

    honestly a fascinating observation

    Reece James too
  20. Anderson helps control games, and he’d be fantastic for us. He’d likely chose us over any other club if he had the choice I’m sure too.
  21. Thats free scoring Man City with Haaland as their CF and countless world class attackers through the years vs counter attacking Nottingham Forest whose best attackers have been Wood, MGW and Elanga. Yea I was never saying any of that. Just find that either people don’t watch him at Forest or want to continue to chronically underrate or over criticize any local players we had for the sake of it.
