it is easily the most painfully obvious opportunity to anyone. club value is "high" to would-be buyers because there is SO much money needed in the facilities (SJP renovation, new training centre, new academy), infrastructure in staffing (football and business side in place is apparently bare-bones), and eventually players. add in the relatively low commercial income as compared to other sides and the opportunity for growth in club value comes from investment in these areas and tieing up lucrative long term commercial partners.

deals leak all the time - generally hands are slapped on either side, some threats of breach of contract are discussed. People go silent after.

Odin’s post and comments about what the WSJ author said are all true. If you listen to the podcast he was on he says he wouldn’t have written that article if he wasn’t lead to believe it was going to happen. Maybe some of you who doubt the Wall Street journal are often too used to the British papers but it’s one of the most respected publications and news outlets. Conspiracy nerds who call it an Ashley fakeover that PR mastermind and puppet master Bishop has orchestrated are misinformed and have questionable intelligence. If you for one second believe some hack like Keith can plant stories in the WSJ and fabricate all of this then carry on reading the sun or something. Now If this was breaking Sunday Sun or Mirror, different story. We know exactly what our owner and Kieth can do with that.

They posted an article based of indykalia lmao. What a fucking joke.

Jay. Who got his bro Greg a job?
-
Pardew is a better manager than Bruce. Fucking hell.

if you set up screen printing, sewing, etc. operation you could grab a football kit catalog and pick a basic team wear template and make it look better than most of the puma kits that were designed for us

Might be so, but it's literally just speculation from "industry insiders" who spoke to the Chronicle.

Wonder what would have been if the MGM partnership came to fruition. The idea behind that is very much how most stadium projects are in the US now - not in the sense of gambling - but in the sense of a massive mixed-use retail (shopping, dining), living (apartments/condos), etc. Being a new epicenter. If the team was continuing to progress and the money entering the club - what could have been? So many more center-city jobs too. By the way in the US - everyone here points to LA Live - which began construction in late 2005 and the phases were delivered in 2007 - 2009. I mean every single developer who wants to build a stadium across NFL, NBA, MLB or MLS wants to do something like LA Live. https://investors.mgmresorts.com/investors/news-releases/press-release-details/2003/MGM-MIRAGE-and-Newcastle-United-PLC-Announce-Joint-Venture-Agreement/default.aspx Read through this press release, It honestly feels like NUFC / MGM was actually ahead of its time creating this JV. Such ambition by our then board.

Shouldn’t be coming on as a sub any more than say Atsu or Carroll... To think what our squad would be like today even with half decent investment like Bruce has seen under Rafa allowed to spend it on players of his own choosing... I could cry I mean obviously, I'd rather we not have him and have better backups for those positions. But I see his purpose in the squad when things are ticking along, he's a good pro, a leader in the dressing room, vocal, works hard etc. but if he's supposed to be one of the elders in the team he can't go radgie headless chicken and make those mistakes.
-
Imagine Matty and Sean under Rafa's tutelage this season.
-
Again it just seems like he's not fit right now. He's tripping over himself, falling over, etc.
-
No issue with Matt Ritchie, but he shouldn't be our 1st choice LWB/LB/LW. If he's coming on as a sub, fair enough. But last night, he was making very stupid fouls in dangerous positions and someone of his age, experience and leadership should NOT be doing that.

I can't believe the club's stance right now on Elias Sorenson - saying he needs to be more of a team player and track back etc and that's why he is not getting a game at the minute for 1st team with the injuries. I'm sorry that is fucking idiotic stance right now when you have only 1 fit striker in the senior squad. Sorenson or Yannick Toure need to be on the bench to provide actual cover for that.At very least these kids will get game time and learn the hard way. FFS. Really annoying.

I was happy we won and genuinely want us to move on in the cup. I don't like the wasted brain power on wishing ill on people or things, esp this club. I do NOT rate luckiest manager ever, Steve Bruce. I hate MA and his cronies Bishop, Charnely, etc. At end of day, Bruce was fortunate a bit of magic saved him because we were going to lose that tie without ASM's moment of brilliance.

There is 0 logic to Mike showing up or not - no way is he sending any messages to anyone. Bloke literally had nothing else better to do so turned up. Brucie probably invited him and quietly dedicated the W to him.

https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/revealed-ingenious-plan-turn-st-16138611 seemed like the only way to do this would be to turn the stadium
-
Love that he and Matty can strike a ball with real pace and accuracy.
-
He's been trying to do this cut in blast shot all season long and he finally connected on it.

@9Shearergol[/member] not sure you saw my post yesterday but someone mentioned something about Luke Edwards telling people to calm down, so my post i deleted was me trying to mimic him but I didn't get my post out right, so deleted it, as i was re-writing, they equalized

He doesn’t look fit whatsoever.
-
He’s got a right canon shot on him. Needs to get more chances to do that.
