The issue became the following season when peak Diame and Shelvey were not upgraded like Rafa wanted and those levels of ability were instantly dropped down, coupled with injuries. Rafa then went to a back 5 because he had been blessed with riches in CBs and needed to stop the team leaking goals and not scoring.

Liverpool’s transfer hits just happen to have developed into some of the best players in the world and are able to consistently perform at every stage. That’s the difference. They couple that with a world class manager and the ground swell picks up. Add in they don’t settle and continue to push. It’s about time people stop pointing fingers and just accept it for what it is. Liverpool were purchased by highly intelligent and ambitious people and over several years they’ve learned from their mistakes, built up incredible revenue streams to fund investment on and off pitch and are fully deserved in where they are today. Simple as that.

I have some connections with the Glazers and everything written about them in the press couldn’t be more incorrect. I’d be shocked if they ever sold Man United unless they got a fuck off offer that was legit. Anyway, they openly spend the cash on the Bucs and have spent a ton of money improving the Bucs stadium and the surrounding area. They support the hell out of the community as well.
