The impact to the city centre businesses pre and post match would be nuclear. That will 100% weigh into this issue. Also for the club to leave the current site they'd have to break the current lease, which I am sure is costly as fuck too versus some sort of amicable trade / pay off that locks the club in the city centre in exchange for that breakage.

Tino is a fantastic 1 v 1 defender and has great strength and recovery pace. Have noticed he has lapses where he seems flat footed when receiving the ball or is late to react to danger. Athletic did a piece on him last season that his greatest strength is aggressive ball carrying to the by-line and then cut backs low to feet or space in the box. Would like to see him get back to that when he's in the team.

unless corporate + stadium sponsor name = +25m a year, I am still struggling to see how this massively closes the PSR gap unless they raise ticket prices a massive % (which would go down awfully). Of course we will have a nice healthy bump of annual revenues from this for increased matchday income, some additional events/concerts, and of course some naming rights too I am sure. TBH, for me, this still is more about the next stage in our evolution as a club to have world class facilities and show the footballing world of our true ambitions.

Think they'll know moving outside of the city centre and not doing it either on current site, leazes or arena site will be nuclear to the fans particularly transport and all that.
-
Also I would like the club to release the stadium plan if it’s actually close before Darren steps away, it should be his legacy that he’s undertaken this massive new development (either new or expansion and renovation).

take a few steps back here — In 2010 they expected it would be about 700m USD, rose to 1b USD, and finally completed at around 1.6b USD. They broke ground in May 2014 and opened in 2017. That stadium cost would be 2-3x that now a days. The new NFL stadium in Nashville should cost over 2.1b USD. 60,000 seats. Context here is you need to exclude land cost in a lot of these numbers you see and just look at hard costs.

Thought he’d be a seamless and instant ball playing / pacy upgrade on Burn and Dummett. He’s young tho so hopefully there is more development in him. If all 5 our main CB’s were fit and available he’d be bottom of my list at this point. I’d sooner play Schar at LCB with Jamaal if Burn and Botman were hurt.

Schar and Botman were relentless with this in our 4th season. Trips and Burn were too tbf.

Get the lad a ticket, ffs.

mine shipped Monday.

I was the cup final and don’t agree, thought it was pretty even in the main. They were up, we were losing, and honestly playing shite, we had the most nervous set of fans of all time given we finally made a cup final. Man United fans I spoke to after told me they thought our fans were louder. Comparing your noise you hear from your own end to the one you hear on the other end doesn’t seem a great barometer of measure tbh. People who saw on tv who were neutral told me they felt they heard our fans more and Man United only came alive when they felt it was over. in any case, this argument is funny to me, not even sure why this point actually needs to be brought up every few months. Stop whinging about the fan noise not being up to your standard or how it used to be - it’s a widely known fact football and the sport supporting fan has changed. The best you can do is keep making noise, teach the youngins in your family or their friends how to do it and just hope it carries forward.

Burn looks a better LB tbh. Thought Burn also looked better at CB when he came on too. Miss Botman, though.

The tatted up lad is killing me.

Just for shits and giggles if we signed a top end DM / 6 who can get around the pitch and play some football, you unleash Tonali as an all action 8 and you could get away with Bruno playing even further up as a hybrid 10 / 8 and let him play ball. He can also go back to being his 8 role too. ideally id love for us to get a real proper attacking mid and young athletic defensive minded mid. Move on Longstaff and jury still out on Willock, who I wish would kick on!
-
I love Sean, tbh as the local boy who does give 100% every time for us but it highlights that our midfield needs some changes in the next few windows. We need more ball players.
-
Think it’ll be clear as day to the scouting group why the midfield options need refreshing in the next two windows. Actually a match that Miley would have been good in given his passing abilities.

it didn’t say plaid in the original article I agree. i knew not much of Northumbrian plaid so if it’s homage to that, pretty unique.
-
I have high hopes for this kid, he could be a bit of a force in time. Absolutley rapid and very strong. Intelligent off ball movement to get in behind as well.
-
Still more a fan of white socks with the home kit now. I feel dirty.
-
Osula is going to be a good player, imho.
-
Willock doing the classic low sock end of 2nd half move

Wouldn't say clueless because I feel that is harsh, but he's not even remotely close to an attacking threat that Hall is.
