  1. Been linked with that guy for ages.
  2. Make Mitro the focal point, De Jong right behind linking up. Start Perez wide left but with license to come inside (we don't really do any attacking wide left anyway at this point). Wijnaldum in a similar role to what he's doing now from wide left but tucked in more centrally, he attacks almost exclusively central (bench Colback), Anita in the exact same role. Moussa in the exact same role.
  3. Sissoko played a box-to-box role in France and worked both sides of the pitch, he's become incredibly lazy in that department when he moved here and I assume much of it had to do with Pardew playing him as a #10 / Second Striker. In France he played next to / in front of Capoue who's big, strong, and quick - was able to do much of the dirty work and distribute the ball. Anyway, Sissoko is incredibly vital to our team, I've no doubt about it. I love him when he's in full sprint, pure-on beast mode - nearly unplayable when he's like that. My issue with him is his mental switch-offs on the defensive side ie: the aformentioned Rose chance. Wijnadlum and Perez have done a far better job tracking their men than Moussa has all season.
  4. Play Perez and Mitro up top, would be akin to Pardew benching Ben Arfa after bossing Stoke at home for Arsenal. You've got the response you needed, start them. I think he should bench Colback and look to keep De Jong in there with Perez playing wide left but doing his bit of attacking all over. Moussa stay wide right, De Jong as the link-man #10 and Mitro up top. This the worst team in the league that's coming home, fucking batter them. Ruthless in attack.
  5. My wife was upstairs in the other room and she was worried all match "you kept cursing at cisse...then I heard you getting angry at Sissoko. Then just yelling fuck yeah like a lunatic"
  6. Proper love away fan mentalists going mad. I can rewatch the corner going ape shit after the winner
  7. Still think he should have saved it given he made more difficult saves earlier. Mind I thought having our shortest player on the post and our awful in the air captain man mark Dier was wrong too.
  8. The only thing more you can ask for yesterday is someone getting him the ball with a chance to shoot at goal more. He's done every other bit fine. He was in the right place to receive the head down from Mitro for the winner and could have easily messed that pass up and we'd not be here smiling about 3 points.
  9. The manner in which he concedes an obvious yellow card foul is the most frustrating thing. Ball isn't even moving in direction of goal and he's making a stupid late challenge.
  10. Still in the boat that I'd like for us to sign a top keeper in the summer.
  11. Just be a little less shit in defense and I'm much happier.
  12. Thought it was poor from him, he doesn't seem to strong at making saves to his left, seems a canny amount beats him there fwiw. Maybe has to do with injuries or something?
  13. is my biggest beef with Sissoko. Yup, he switches off, lazy and weak tackles etc. But on the flip side when he's in his beast mode matches, he's out there muscling and standing people up and getting his body in front of his opponent and then he's nearly impossible to beat. This guy has one of the best shoulder barges I've seen in some time (was it Ridgewell?) Think it might have been against Liverpool where he tracked his man to the RB area and made what was probably his first sliding tackle of the season. He won the ball and knocked it out for a throw. He then turned back to his defence with a look on his face as if to say "was that alright lads?" :lol Beast Mode Sissoko is a joy to behold. Fanny Mode Sissoko is just a waste of time. Fanny mode - that would be that time he went for a slide tackle and the winger just continued on with his run and crossed it. Was the weakest thing I've ever seen. Beast mode - Sissoko dropping Ivanovic with a shoulder, throwing Moreno around like a doll last week... What a frustrating fucker, when he's in pure beast - you're right, it's fucking glorious.
  14. Getting a yellow as a CM who's role is to break up play and provide cover within the first 25 minutes every match essentially takes you out of the match. You're unable to do a professional foul on a counter that could lead to a goal if you're pushed up, you're unable to go in hard on any challenges or take gambles. Its fucking poor stuff.

  16. Klopp sent his team out to answer to the Wall when they had that poor fucking run and they listened to fans shout at them, apologized, and then promptly worked their asses off to move themselves back up the table his last season there if i recall correctly. Pretty ballsy, classy move there.
  17. Is that a serious question? When your central (supposedly combative) midfielder is on a yellow, he has to be on his best behavior so as not to risk a second yellow. Players in that position have to take risks sometimes to stop imminent attacks. I wouldn't mind him picking up yellows, it's just that 99% of the time they're stupidly avoidable yellows where he could have just let the player go as they posed very little threat. Save taking the yellow card for when it's worth it, and not when you foul an opponent in their own f***ing half because you can't tackle for s***. Spot on both of you.
  18. Humble pie my ass. He's been historically s*** and he's been a mouthpiece for Alan f***ing Pardew. If he starts performing like that consistently and doing his job back there then he'll rightfully get the credit he deserves NOW for actually doing the job like a professional premier league footballer should.
  19. I don't think Colback adds to any balance of our team. He's a warm body who gets a yellow card. Definitely, I meant more taking Wini out of a position that's working really well for us. That's probably a bad idea. We're desperate for a couple of new centre midfielders and centre backs. True. This is where I think you play Ayoze wide left and have him do the same stuff he's doing now but a little more rigid in he stays more on the left side, push Gini inside more and get him ghosting in around the box like he's done for us to score his goals. I like little Vurn, but the solution here is moving Sissoko or Wijnaldum central and signing a proper CM who can do both ends of the pitch work and cover for what could be 5 blitzing attackers.

    Steve McClaren

Him coming on in injury time tells me it was a timewasting exercise rather than pecking order. Lucky cunt has been able to celebrate a winner yesterday on the pitch and then the match sealer versus Liverpool
