  1. Hardly some pat on the back for poor Slot having had the balls to not veto the likes of Frimpong, Kerkez, Wirtz, Ekiteke...tough fucking life man.
  2. its up the executive team to find a happy medium, it never should be 1 sided - disagreements are part of the business, acting like a fucking prick like Mitch did early doors wasn't smart. It was ultimately his job to get everyone rowing in the right direction. Eddie has always liked a sporting director, he made it work with Ashworth - who only left because Man United came calling (a friend + the draw of Man United's finances). Eddie doesn't deserve to be doing this on his own, he needs to be preparing us for 4 chances to win a trophy. He doesn't need his #1 striker, who he personally developed downing tools and disrupting an already turbulent summer window. And yes, Eddie went after those #1 targets becauses we're in the champions league and were in a whisker of finishing 2nd with 2 matches to go and ultimately finished 5. We're not playing stage 1 of money ball and he doesn't have the luxury of time to develop a 18 year old wonderkid when we're due to play CL football this season.
  3. Yeah I mentioned this yesterday or this morning, cant recall, but totally agree.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Van Hecke has been excellent versus us too
  5. I think we all know its a matter of when and not if anymore. His legacy is tarnished for me. No issues if he was on the pitch and working with his teammates and just trying to get his move/money but agree with Hope - the way he has gone about this is something I'll never forgive him for.

    Joe Willock

he did very well in Howe's first full season and looked a complete midfielder.
  7. Liverpool biggest cunts going. Signed the replacement who was likely coming here, then made the not so public overtures and unsettled a guy who was likely going to wait it out for next summer anyway. Absolute dickheads.
  8. On another topic, his fucking shocking decision to be left at home has royally fucked any leverage we have on buying a new striker.
  9. This whole “he has always said this is his last season” bit from his camp reeks of some convenient bullshit to change the narrative. We’d have heard some inkling of this for an entire year, most likely right after he was told he wasn’t getting a new deal yet. Every single journalist is gasping for an exclusive and yet that has never popped up at all until now?
  10. Honestly get him a loan to Spain or something and let him develop. He’s got excellent technical ability and a functioning football brain.
  11. first time I’ve read this in 12 months (the articles claim). I think whether he wanted to go or not, it seemed like he was destined to go next summer.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

    Let’s go get Paqueta
  13. I’ve seen crazier loan fees not called “significant” by the press. Honestly so weird the way we get reported.
  14. Eddie has always stressed the need for structure, and having the right people in place. He has always stressed making football decisions to better the team and maybe sacrificing the financial side if possible. I am sure he has no desire to be the defacto sporting director right now. He's been hung out to dry by many people at the club, whether intentionally or not and all he's done is get us 5th, 7th, 5th, 2 CL births, 2 cup finals, and 1 trophy.
  15. I hate bringing up the old days as an excuse, and this summer has royally sucked. I have many posts about my displeasure with the ownership right now but I do not like reading bullshit suggested that Eddie has too much power, or clowning anyone at the club who's actively working their bollocks off to try and kick us on. I have more issues with the disrupters, the cowards who left their posts, and our star striker who was basically given a king's treatment by the coaching staff to further disrupt an already stressful summer.
  16. We are night and day different to Ashley era, fucking moronic to say otherwise. I get it, it's not pleasant right now as we've missed out on many targets, have signed only Elanga for the first team and our star striker is on strike, but fuck sake, remember when Keith Bishop and Justin Barnes were sat next to Charnley and Mike Ashley? Remember when Amanda and Mehrdad first sat up there in the new era? PSG at home? Wembley lifting the trophy? Again, be critical of the ownership, I certainly am, but to suggest it's all back to pre takeover, or that there aren't teams of hard working people trying to make this club better every day is really disingenuous.
  17. there is also an ebb and flow of transfers too - lot of turn at these clubs as they are rebuilding; just happens we are constantly building.
  18. I would support any extra shithousery towards Liverpool for the forseebale future.
  19. The rules limiting revenue growth, fair market value checks on bonafide third party sponsorships, restrictions on related party sponsorships, and a a 3 year loss floor that has not adjusted with rising wages in football are 5 reasons I would always oppose PSR, irrespective of who owns what clubs. All red tape to keep the same warlords ahead of the pack for some time.
  20. Electric. Changed my life. Meeting the folks on here pre and post match, proper meal after too. Was absolutley brilliant.
