I know our club was shit last season and I know it was only a handful or so of times I'd waste my time watching QPR but he looked far more dangerous running about and creating his own shots than people give him credit for. If he's brought in and has to compete to win the spot versus the others in I'm okay with that. Earn your spot by scoring goals. But again We aren't that type of club so would rather spend the money elsewhere.

We need to claw any draws we can in this beginning run IMO. Build some confidence. We've many tough fixtures ahead.

I've no problem with Andros. If we're signing a wide man, he's got to have pace and a decent eye for goal.

Personally I have no problem with us trying to sign him, I just don't like this 1 in 1 out or 1 signing here, sorted type mentality. If we were building a squad to mount a genuine push for Europe or Cup competitions, fair enough. To have Cisse, Mitrovic, Austin as a striking team would be awesome. And to have depth in quality is all great.

I like that the ultimatum was "we're holding on 15m, and also if nobody meets that we are offering him a contract" like has has any fucking obligation to sign it.

I know the signings I'm on about are likely not to happen this window which is a shame bc I do think again this is a kick-on opportunity with new manager, new players, and ability to harness some positivity and optimism. We also have enough money to sign nearly anyone we've been linked with. It's frustrating.

Our LW should be (1) Aarons (2) Marveaux (3) Cabella IMO with form/injuries/opposition being the driver on who plays there. I also think the #10 is quite tasty in (1) Ayoze (2) De Jong (3) Cabella (4) Marveaux (5) Wijnaldum all capable of playing there. I really want to see both Cabella and Marveaux in this team as they actually have the killer pass (and I've seen Marveaux with it more-so) and the creativity.

I don't disagree. But he needs to be surrounded by pace for one, and we need to be playing much further up the pitch. We of course saw him on when we didn't look like we were going to attack anymore. Anita, Gini, Aarons/Perez, Sissoko and you've got the right surrounding players for Siem IMO.

FWIW If we persist with 1 sitting/holder in Anita playing as a deep playmaker, I'd like to see Gini given freedom to roam about with Ayoze/De Jong/Cabella playing as a #10 and Sissoko (for the time being) wide right with Aarons wide left. I think that grouping variation will give us the best of all worlds in certain situations.

You solve the goal scoring "issue" if you play Ayoze behind the central striker by the way, a highly technical player who can dribble, pass, and has excellent box instincts and movement.

He's actually a supremely intelligent footballer with great movement and ability to finish either foot (tap-ins or volleys) and use his head. He's literally just been out of playing for so long and needs to regain that sharpness. He plays the ball very quickly (usually first time or quick control and pass). I want him to do well here and think he can, but as of right now - I'd push Gini back and get Ayoze as the #10.
