Guys seriously. Just sit down and think for a second. He basically would have cost them 7m net last summer or now 13m net this summer. They were always signing him. Always. They are fucking scarred off the Palmer deal and won’t allow that to happen. So stop saying we should have wrapped it up last summer or before the club World Cup. No amount of Orenstein angle should convince you otherwise. The player himself apparently expected to move to us and had gotten no indication City were coming. But when they called they offered him I am sure far more money in wages than we could ever do. whoever you want to blame from City or Trafford’s camp be my guest. Fact is we should have never gone for him or any player who has such a clause that was destined to fuck us for peanuts.

Isak knows we’re a top club, by the way, he saw how we supported the players, all season long. He saw the celebrations for the cup in and out of the ground and in the city. He knows when he’s on fire he can help us beat anyone. He knows his teammates can beat anyone. what he doesn’t have is an extra 150k or some odd a week and that’s what’s pissing him off. and yes, a few signings early window would have gone some way.

Agents have shown up big this summer

It’s as simple as having a level playing field of which teams can pay wages and transfers. If you literally can’t afford it based on your owners or your sources or capital you can’t do it. If you can afford it you do it. You also don’t limit the opportunity to better your club based on sponsorship deals. If you get relegated and your clubs owners fuck off then the league needs to help find a suitable owner and not punish the fans but ban the cunts who did it / have recourse against the owners. Simple solutions and allowing anyone with an ounce of ambition to push forward and also requiring teams to be prudent with how they finance or source their capital. solved.

This is what it feels like when a promoted club comes up and their "top players" all get poached + manager too.

If Orenstein's tweets are accurate - Mitchell was in charge at the time. CWC started on 18 June. Mitchell announcement was 27 May and said he'd stay until 30 June.

Soon as season was done I was thinking we'd strengthen rather quickly, have a full preseason of healthy players and really make a charge this season. As recent as last Monday/Tuesday I was thinking if we pull off Eketike we had a title challenging front 4. Mad how quickly football shifts your mind.

Is this the first time we have found out city have matching rights in addition to a buy back clause? If so, that’s fucking naff and horrendous for football. FWIW I think Trafford was always going to end up back there but his agent had no inkling a deal would happen. (Or we got used again)

He was always going to city. Matching rights + city’s ability to pay higher wages = the easier option for him. City could pay an extra 25% in wages in savings on transfer alone.

13m was a no brainer for City.

Ah mate, hope you enjoy it. I know the feeling all too well. I hope the gloom around the summer doesn’t impact seeing Eddie and the lads. Enjoy and be safe. -

We still have Silverstone (cmo), Capper (CFO), Brad Miller (COO) and Jack Ross.

He turned a dressing room with turned heads into a 5th place team and nearly snatched 2nd place. He won us our first cup in 70 years and he got us 2 CL births at that. Fucking hung out to dry by the club time and time and time again.

You can be thankful for everything done to date and still hold them to task on the lack of communication and the current situation we are faced with. We are the talk of global football and the vultures are circling. We don't have a CEO or Sporting DIrector to make any comments. Jamie Reuben is silent, Yasir is silent, and when Eddie gets off the plane he's going to have to answer all these fucking questions. So no, easily can tell our board to get a fucking grip and support Eddie and the team.
