  1. I'm of Indian heritage... Cracks me up all these random Indian jokes like Tim Curry, Tim Rice... Anyway, in my head it would be pretty cool that the club I've loved my whole life would now be owned by an Indian... But i'm not so sure I'd like that unless we heard reassurances of what he wanted. Ie: Keegan to remain as Manager, Keegan to get warchest and sole say on transfers etc. Current scouting team to exist but answer to Keegan only. Thats stuff for dreams though...
  2. I've been trying to not comment b/c I know nothing other than whats posted on the board and other websites.... But i'm all the way out in Orlando, FL sitting at my desk at work with my stomach in knots over this. I'll never lose my love for the club no matter what happens... But i'm worried as hell about the future. I won't lie.
  3. The negativity makes me sick. All I see on here is everyone calling each other morons, c***ts, etc. Take a step back and think for second people - we are Newcastle United - lets act like it for once. The piss taking on eachother is terrible. Howay the Lads
  4. maybe hes our holding midfielder we need. a Strong, tough as nails kind of lad who is defensive minded....
  5. F'ng love KK - I guess people forget how well he knows the supporters hang on by every word, report, news and rumor. He knew very well that people would be aghast by the selling of Milner and that we would all be deathly afraid of not getting anyone else in. So, when the time was right. They announced the sale, and KK also wanted everyone to know the club isn't daft, the club isn't going to sit around and not try to sign quality. He made it be known to us that they are working on 4-5 players, with 2 of them potentially close to be done. Keep the faith people, heres to hoping things work out for us. Roll on Monday as they say - its going to be one hell of a roller coaster.
  6. Its so common sense - But we all know KK understands the squad is small, and so do the recruitment men. I trust KK, he knows what he needs and what the calibre of player is required. If the player is not avail, and we don't sign anyone, then I know KK will sort out what needs to be done after. The man isn't oblivious to what is needed - but he also, won't dare sign someone who wouldn't wear the shirt with pride. He wouldn't stand for that. I trust him, always have and always will. Like someone else wrote on here....IN KEEGAN WE TRUST.

Gave us supportors who live outside the UK a chance to follow the matches on the tele mate!
  8. this is the stuff that makes me mad....obviously when a player fails a medical, i imagine it puts off any potential buyers
  9. how is that a natural reaction? seems so awkward....haha. God i love Jonas.
  10. wasn't everyone ranting and raving about Bassong's aerial ability? Colo is supposed to be (and what I saw from Man Utd) a rock solid defender in the air. TopToon, not having a go at you - but you mentioned Stevey Taylor being the best defensive header of the ball - and I would venture to say not many people here will agree with you on that. I'd say currently Colo (from what I seen) and Bassong (from the friendlies) looked miles better in the air than young Taylor. I'd also venture to say Habib Beye is pretty solid as well. But regardless, you do raise the height issue - but like others have said - if anyone should be worried, it should be their defenders - with our pace and counter ability - they need to be worried.
  11. Mallorcagate - ala Nixon and Watergate. Lets send some people into the offices and nab the damn registration from their files.
  12. Good idea. Can we credit this to me too? Something along the lines of "Coloccini wears number 2 - We wouldn't have known if it wasn;t for the awesome Hindu Times" Nice spot Hindu Times - makes me chuckle. I'm sure its all wrapped up and I'd imagine we are just holding off b/c we don't give a F to annouce - Ashley's shirt was enough confirmation, a middle-finger to the press kind of annoucement.
  13. how about the goal at Basel? i think hes a terrible player these days, and when i see him play i cringe - but there were times he saved our arse badly in matches. ill always respect him for that.
  14. aye, we'd be top. (only joking of course)
  15. one of the best posts i've ever read on this forum.
  16. Sir Bobby you are a legend.
  17. KK said he wouldn't play in either game. Cheers, thanks. So he just travelled in the squad then.
  18. So i take thats a no Coco? Care to explain why? I guess I'm just scared to peices when I think we only have MOwen and Oba up top. I don't consider Shola & Smudge strikers at all...Viduka will be in out of injury... Anyone think of any realistic players from the league we could nab and could do a job here? I wonder why we haven't tried to put in a cheeky bid for one of Chelski's 400 strikers...
  19. random: But would anyone take Dirk Kuyt? If we were to do the 4-3-3 I think Kuyt and Martins with Owen behind them would be excellent. Personally think he'd be excellent as he works his socks off, can hold the ball up and is pretty good in the air...
  20. Beye - Taylor - Coloccini - Enrique ------------------Faye------------------ Not bad like. Have Faye in @ DM to shore that up. I'd be very happy with that Back 4 and Faye playing the DM position. Essentially could have a much more attacking midfield and forward line.
  21. i'm not sorry for what my people have done, but i am embarresed as hell. please restrict him from the record, he clearly has no idea whats going on and thinks hes funny. man's very obnoxious too. huckerby, legend. lmfao.

    Tim Krul

Loan him out, say under no circumstance do we sell him. But let him be loaned and then bring him in first team in1 or 2 years. Hes very young, is he good enough to be starter in a year or so? Thoughts?
  23. Lmao, thats my local paper. I oughta track down the idiots who posted that and slap them all. Sorry everybody!
