  1. I much prefer to make fun of Orlando's deep roster of hipster Chelsea fans, which in itself, makes 0 fucking sense to me.
  2. Far more sound than the Orlando group; you know the group that was just the two of us

    RIP Freddy Shepherd

No contracted debt was hidden, it was in the accounts. The issue was that, on a change of ownership, the debt contract said that the debt could be called in. And once there was a change of ownership it was indeed called in. Barclays seized the opportunity and ran. There has been debate on here as to whether Ashley should have known that would happen. Yes he should - but I don’t think he did. Thick as mince in transactions like the one he did to buy us, no previous experience is my take on it - others disagree I know. But none of us has a fecking clue what was in his head at the time tbh. Any sane person doesn't put that much cash up to buy a sports organization without doing their due diligence. He could have easily paid that loan off and then went to any one of his preferred lenders who work with him at SD and gotten a larger loan to offset his equity some and likely gotten some decent terms as it was 2007 when i purchased the club and the world didn't fall apart yet. Only person to blame wasn't anyone but his. We were more than fine generating our own cash flow to cover that debt or replacement.

Goodbye, sweet (expensive) prince. Appreciate him putting us on the map; was one of my favorite footballers growing up and proud to say I saw him do some amazing things for Orlando City in person. All the best to him.
  5. thanks, was actually very helpful!
  6. We don't deserve our own thread anyway, should be kept for teams that make world cups
  7. 2017. Knocked out and the World Cup and trump. What a time to be an American. Fuck off.
  8. Think you just shut the door on best foreigner, tbh. Well I think that post by thomas was f***ing s*** and I'd never do that. Sorry Tommy boy. Have not and will not ever give a f*** what you think. Choke on a dick, Kanji boy. Shouldn’t have called you out. Sorry about.
  9. When he tackled Lejeune and hurt him everyone wanted him dead
  10. I think this is going to hurt the nation (the popularity of the sport, sadly) and thank fuck that Gulati's election is in February and hopefully he walks before then or is sacked (somehow). The whole system needs fixing, far too much money being pumped into the game here in the US and not enough of it is doing anything to develop players, coaches, and the sport in general. It's really upsetting to me because I've been highly critical of all of this for quite some time, I loved Klinsy despite my anger at the way we played and results because he had the balls to challenge the system currently in place and had a long-term vision (even though it had its flaws). Anyway, I hope this changes everything and we sit down and really make wholesale changes, because a nation this large with this much money and resources shouldn't be struggling to get into the World Cup, nor should it be missing olympics, or it's better players be paid more to "help the local game" when they sacrifice their own careers and development by leaving European leagues (see: Bradley).
  11. Please use your words and explain to us that one time an Englishman once made a small mistake
  12. Not something I do, but all good man. Carry on.
  13. Hope Jonjo has a good season and makes the England team for the WC - need his passing in the team. Would be awesome if Lascelles kicks on and even gets in too.
  14. Think you just shut the door on best foreigner, tbh. Well I think that post by thomas was fucking shit and I'd never do that. Sorry Tommy boy.
  15. Hey, we enjoyed the Iceland GIFS that time! Who the fuck did that?
  16. Whole thing needs redoing and it won’t happen. Arena and Gulati should stay down in Trinidad. Failed us and the entire fucking system
  17. He played so fucking good on Friday night in Orlando, man. Was so proud seeing him do that for the US team and all the praise he's getting has Rafa mentioned in it too
  18. Wonder how'd we'd have done with JDT and Sir Les as our strike force when Shearer was out.
  19. Seems like your basing that off a massive amount of assumptions, Tron.
  20. Most US writers felt that Yedlin is and will continue to be a key player for USA in the national setup. He’s been given loads of praise since Friday and it’s been mentioned that Rafa is the one to give massive credit to for making him far more posintionally aware and tactically smart on the pitch. Love it.
  21. should just use it as an excuse to go after ashley and everything he stands for. is there anybody in england who actually likes the cunt?
  22. Always a soft spot for Ireland, get the fuck in.
