  1. If Rafa thinks to himself, my we could really be something with some proper investment...finally gets some movement that Ashley will sell, talks to a broker/investment person he knows that has tried this before and has access to capital/capital funds/buyers, woos them, then works out a way to get Mike paid and happy and get the club sold to someone who will invest into his "project" .... well, that's some all-time legendary status for me, like.
  2. Actually think that if Perez spent most of his match in and around the opposition box and not expending so much energy playing as a defensive #10, he'd be be in the goals more. But in any regard, I've no issue with him; 9th right now with this squad.
  3. in all honesty, we obviously don't have a clue, her being involved in the business of brokering football club acquisitions for her middle eastern contacts and being a guest of Rafa and NOT the club's guest can mean anything. Whatever those close to her said about her being their strictly for the match/personal reasons etc could be towing the line as it relates to the NDA. Hell she could be pre-NDA and snooping around as Rafa's guest only to be ready to get to work on this. Fact she was there and NOT club's guest actually make me think more positively on this as if she was club's guest I'd dismiss it was a fishing exercise.
  4. prob signed the NDA this morning
  5. Was thinking this morning.... Had Shelvey stayed on the pitch we likely dig in like we did versus Liverpool and grind out a 0-0. (+1 pt). Had Joselu buried his chance at Brighton I think we'd have won that match, it would have deflated Brighton imo (+3 pts). But anyway, looking back our 3 losses this season have been 10 men in the opener to Spurs and two 1-nil losses where our attack was just purely unable to do anything or finish the few chances. Seriously, if we can continue to play this way at home and put in more Swansea style performances away from home we'll be in very sound footing heading into January. Early days, I know, but the fight, hunger, and defensive shape is making us very hard to break down or beat.
  6. I had a neutral, and 2 liverpool fans who are all very good friends of mine, text me after the match and generally their feeling was that our defensive shape and tactics at 1-1 where we dug in and just frustrated Liverpool as much as possible was a pure on masterclass by Rafa and the players executing the plan. Felt the same as well.
  7. He looked excellent at hold-up play and all-around stuff versus West Ham and Swansea. Was getting on great chances and looked a handful versus Stoke, looked rather tame versus Brighton and was meh for me today despite that fantastic run and shin goal. Would like to think that Mitrovic is the like-for-like switch for him as we clearly need a focal point who can hold things up.
  8. She’s obviously working on something...let’s hope it comes to fruition.
  9. I’d be all for a new owner who had Chelsea or city money. Why? Because we need a fuck load or money to reinvest into the first team squad, the academy, scouting, training facilities, etc. we need it! Plz be true.
  10. NBC didn’t say anything about her but camera man fixated on her for a bit. Did sky say anything?
  11. Ah because his wife is pregnant it’s fine for him to waste away here and steal some more wages.
  12. Please be true man. My god.
  13. The spineless little loser didn’t even consider moving, taking temp residence, live in an a Hotel ffs.
  14. Fucking cunt turned down a move due to geographical reasons
  15. How dare he lose to PSG who boast a front 3 of Neymar, Cavanni and Mbappe
  16. The way things are going now in football - Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern, the PL "6" being discussed in here...will continue to make greater share of money than the so called lesser terms and any notion of parity or competition will continue to decrease, the bigger clubs will continue to get better and the smaller clubs will lose more share in their ability to compete IMO.
  17. Alan Pardew, well versed in being under pressure.
  18. I'm actually of the thought that Mitro prob would have started at Swansea based on how he played vs West Ham (and not gotten himself banned)
  19. Would be fucking ace to see him and Neymar on the wings though. Fullbacks would quit.

    RIP Freddy Shepherd

His over riding ambition was to cream as many millions as he could possibly get. Took us from signing Shearer for a the record fee to Guisseppi Rossi on loan which he tried to pass as a major coup. Where would the club be now if Ashley hadn't came along? The debt was massive. John Hall knew to p*ss off rather sharpish... f*** off with this where would we be crying bull s*** about Ashley saving us from oblivion by saving us from the debt "crisis" we had created for ourselves. A point that has been made far too often and lapped up. Ashleyout.com had some great points about that very topic and how much PR bull s*** that was. We don't owe Mike Ashley a single fucking thing. Someone else would have came through and bought us I would put money on that person being a better owner over the same 10 year period than some cunt who's relegated us twice, doubled our debt owed to him, sold off land near the stadium, embarrassed and insulted club legends and fans, and etc.
  21. Might actually pair decently well for Mitro or Gayle

RIP, bloody hope we one day have a sustained period of success that's close to what we had under Sir Bobby with him as Chairman.
  23. Same. The way we play completely suits us when teams come onto us. Agreed. Although do feel like we never played well versus Huddersfield with that high press of theirs.
