  1. Played in a friendly against The American legend that is Freddy Adu. He was f***ing brilliant that day (then). Good chance I played Graham Zusi as well...shiiet
  2. Fox Sports 1 is watchable b/c of Charissa Thompson.
  3. Nice hit...f***er was inside the box again
  4. Just hadn't seen him play much so was shocked to see him in a starting role.
  5. People rate Townsend? Big call to have him starting out wide in this match no?
  6. I tried to be clever and now I pay the price. It's like, mostly in english, and then s*** is in Spanish outta nowhere. If something goes wrong in VLC now, that s*** is just gonna stay wrong. The soccer scores extension I use in FF (that has made me look like an asshole in here before) is in Spanish now, and that s*** is causing me problems. Wut? Did you not explain why yet?
  7. didnt MYM finish the season playing a few games at LB last season and looked really good? or have i imagined that He did look good at LB and RB last season. He did look bad at Man City, but I believe everyone looked bad that night. I honestly think the best way to use him until he adapts to the league's physicality and speed is to play RB behind Ben Arfa. He'll not need as much help, he'll be less caught-out, he's faster than Debuchy, everytime he's crossed the ball in attacking positions or gone forward he's looked dangerous (I don't see him lofting 1 single cross that is for sure) and he'll be able to contest aerial balls with not as physical wide players. Sides we play against target Debuchy for his lack of pace and always being out of position, this basically solves that, while fixing our lack of physicality at CB with Taylor/Willo pairing with Captain Colo.
  8. I actually think our answer here is to play MYM at RB with Taylor at CB with Colo and Santon/Dummett/Haidara fight it out for LB with Santon clearly in the lead. I think this allows MYM to continue to adapt to the league, he's got much more recovery pace, he's probably better at positioning and won't be caught too far up the pitch.
  9. Is that a seperate subscription only channel or is it available pretty much free to air with most cable packages? EDIT I know the house we're staying in had all of the ESPN channels but not Fox Soccer when we were last over so i'm assuming it therefore won't have NBC Sportsnetwork. Very good bet that you are right man. For me, its part of my sports hd package or something.

    Alan Pardew

Had high hopes for him too, thought ah we've finally signed a CB who looks a bit cultured.
  11. The argument seems to only be made when the person speaking is trying to make a certain point. And its generally aimed at the losing side, no?

    Papiss Cissé

Which should be our strength given the names on the sheet.

Well fair enough I suppose, all I was suggesting was that Ashley has in fact parted with quite a lot of cash. His own fault etc, etc, I know. His initial investment was high and his subsequent investments have been fairly low. He could have easily made 1 to 3 shrewd hires in a Chairman/DOF/Manager and not touched that since and all of his minor cash investments into players would probably have served better and trickled throughout the club. Better Chairman getting better deals, with a better DOF/Scout/Manager relationship finding better players, getting more out the players, and a higher league position with more fan support and less unrest. The higher league position meaning more money and more attraction to commercial partners and sponsors or potential new ownership. Sadly, his horrible dealings early on and various other fuck ups since have damaged public view on the club until he leaves, sells up, or comes out admits to every mistake he's made and commits to righting every single one his wrongs and proves it with every decision after.
  14. Such a great lad, I hope he has a long successful career and I hope its with us.
  15. Can we sign him and his manager Claude Puel too?
  16. Ideal world, with out of work managers, I'd take Marcelo Bielsa as our manager, no.1 on my list - even though under our current regime that would never happen. I'd take Fatih Terim as well, in the end I want a proper football man who never fears the opposition, sick of the defeatist mentality.
  17. There is surely a bigger and better list than that? for dreaming purposes? This summer was the best time, there were tons of managerial moves. Damn it.
  18. Yes 745am EST on NBC Sports Network

    Papiss Cissé

He was so confident in a team that was flying high in the table. There were a ton of "factors" outside of himself that were in everyone's favor. He hit those brilliant first time goals but he also had some clinical finishes vs Liverpool (back post header across the keeper & taking his time to finish the 2nd). It's like the summer after just completely ruined him, as he's not looked the same since. I haven't a clue why, and I won't blame it on being played out wide or something, he just looks 1/2 the player he was when he first came, just looks unsure of himself and we've given him every chance in the world to get out of it, but he just clearly doesn't look like he's going to any time soon. The one plus I have is that Cardiff was the first time he actually was getting into the positions to attempt shots or whatever on goal in ages, generally he just looks like he's wandering around the pitch.
  20. If that's the real home kit it looks awesome.

    Loïc Remy

Let's just enjoy the fella being on our books and scoring goals like his for the season we know we have him for? Some morbid talk going on right now, he's 5 matches in on a 38 match league campaign and the paranoia has already set in? f***ing Ashley ruining our supporters.
  22. Yes, 100% go there. Really fun. Just leave at 300am and drive to my house in Orlando. You can watch for free. Simple.

    Alan Pardew

Pardew's win column for us has more to do with a handful of players individual brilliance. He hasn't actually out managing or tactically beat the other team/manager save for a handful of matches, with the majority of those coming in the 5th place season. He deserves to be sacked, Newcastle United shouldn't be where it is, even with the current state of ownership & "board"
