But who would score the goals? Gayle and Ritchie have scored most of our goals. Removing our top goal scorer and replacing him with Mitrovic because, according to you, he creates chances for others is some flawed logic. If he's going to create chances for newly acquired, goal scoring players why not just replace him in the team with some who scores goals as a striker? http://www.nufc.com/2016-17html/goalscorers.html People wanting a non-goal scoring striker in the team amazes me. We've had the likes of Shearer, Ferdinand, Cole, etc. over the years. We've now got people saying they'd play a non-goal scoring striker as he may provide chances for other players. What has happened to some people's standards for a striker? What I mean is, if we play Gayle in EPL next season, we face the risk that we even cant create any chance to score goals because our midfield cannot function on their own and need help from Mitrovic. Gayle is a pure goal scorer. If we have some excellent transfer and we can get some excellent wingers or play makers like Ben Arfa then fine I would go for Gayle instead.

It is a question of “what makes you useful in EPL” rather than “who is a better footballer” for Newcastle. As a goal scorer, no one can argue that Gayle is the better one and he must be first choice if you simply look in this way. Given the same amount of chances Mitrovic would miss probably twice as Gayle. But then, as a team, in Premiership, are we going to have as much chances as in Championship? What I observe this season is if we are able to dominate the game without forward`s support, Gayle is a much better option because he has enough supplies to convert to goals. However if we are unable to do so, Gayle is nearly non-existant, and he couldnt help to change the game. Mitrovic is the opposite. He couldnt convert the chances that good but he is able to help to create it. To be blatently honest, both strikers are not good enough. But if we are forced to use 1 next season, I believe Mitrovic could contribute more to our results even if he would score less goals than Gayle. I would rather spend 25m on Sigurdson though.

Pickford is like Stone. There is potential and some unique talents that he could be something but he still need fucking lot of improvements. If any big teams come to grab him up this summer then thats it. Finished.

Same. The question now is what role that fucking baldney played. It sounds like he knew everything and was part of the system. -

Strange. That should not be related to any of the current players? -
RIP, huge loss for the club, and I am serious.

Really? http://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=51080 Really. Last year Okazaki was starting every match. This year a lot of appearances are substitutes. Thats why Okazaki is the first one who “liked” the sacking in the offical news. It is not surprising that Leicester cannot maintain their pressing without the 2 players who covered most space last season right? They finally made up the mistake by paying high on Ndidi and starting Okazaki again.
-
I think people overrated Leicester players a lot. They are actually very limited footballers and they probably can only win in the way they played last season. They cant adapt to change in personnel and tactics like other top class players. You can blame players effort but you cant blame them for the selection. Vardy partnership with Slimani and King Drinkwater at centre are both nth but disaster.
-
Not really. Ranieri didnt play Okazaki and to me thats unforgivable. Not that I support the sacking but no way you can start pressing that well without Okazaki.
-
No one can give you the concrete answer at this moment but the players` response on the pitch probably points to the truth. Leicester are fielding the same team and playing the same way like laat season since the sacking.
-
The difference of playing okazaki or not is fucking massive
-
Martino was a crash.

Thats exactly why the club should support the manager instead.
-
If you support the sacking, then basically you are not in the camp of “you need a great manager to build up your club statue in long run aka the Ferguson works”. No fucking way. What Leicester should do is the opposite. Support the manager, flush out the rotten players after relegation, and let Ranieri to rebuild again. Afterwards no players would disrespect Ranieri and thats the real beginning of long term success. Does sacking Ranieri help to retain the players now? Obviously fucking no. If thats the case, rebuild is the only option then why not let the one with most credit to do it? This is a very short-sighted sacking. Exactly what we did to Sir Bobby and Leicester deserve to relegate and enter their dark era for this ridiculous decision. Relegation is not the worst outcome. Sinking without trace and direction is.

What if Barca out at 16 and couldnt get La Liga, whilst Real Madrid got both, and Ronaldo get the ballon dor again? That would be his fifth, same number as Messi.
-
This loss could seriously hurt Messi‘s legacy.

Mind to give more details? We wont trust 100% no worries but do have interest to know why.

We need an atmosphere of spurs 5:1 again. To show the board what will happen if Rafa walks. To remind them that will be the end of Newcastle.

I am not defending the fat cunt btw, just trying to analyze whats goin on there.

As said in other topic, I think what has been agreed last summer was Rafa is given a budget to manage and spend. Thats the control of transfer guaranteed to Rafa and obviously this was in place last summer, or else we wouldnt see the likes of Diame, Hanley and Murphy. What makes the difference this time could be down to 1. Ashely gone back to his words and give Rafa a middle finger 2. That money has been spent already and what Rafa want this window is the extra bit which is not guaranteed and subject to Ashleys approval. Certainly both would piss Rafa off but I cant blame the fat cunt much if it is case 2 to be honest. Rafa did have to bear the responsibility of wasting money on those fringe players like gamez, lazaar, hanley and murphy. Yes the likes of Gayle Hayden Clark are great buys but Ritchie Diame are just average at best. Rafa should have had enough resources to get us promotion, and if we have to spend, we should spend on those that are still useful after promotion. The likes of Hanley are 100% deadwood next year and we still need to find ways to move them out.
-
It looks ridiculous as an outsider. It makes sense if you purely look it in financial perspective. What if we spend all 3 windows money, which definitely has been calculated assuming we are promoted, during last summer and end up not getting promoted? As a fan certainly we are shouting for investment for better chance for promotion. As an owner you definitely would not make blind innvestment. There is agency problem man.

I aint sure to be honest. It is commonly known that Ashley has promised to give Rafa total control over transfer last summer. In my interpretation, it means Rafa is free to spend for an agreed amount of money to buy anyone he wants. The likes of Hanley, Murphy and Diame clearly falls into this category as they literally has no resale value. So this makes believe that Rafa did have the control. So there are 2 possibilities 1. The report earlier is correct that Ashley goes back to his words and getting involved again, i.e. taken away the control once promised to Rafa, assuming that there is still money left. 2. The money agreed has been spent already and in this window Rafa is asking for additional money which is not agreed in last summer. This additional amount of money, for sure, will not be available unless Ashley also agreed to spend. I.e. the deal must be too good to turn down. I hope it is 2. We all know Ashley is too stubborn that it could be 1. Only time will tell.
