  1. Eales has a reason, no matter what, and we don’t know it’s him who chose not to leave after discovering the cancer or its PIF who ask him to stay till the end of the season despite fighting with cancer. He got a free pass and I don’t want to put more blame on him re the loss of direction from the management. However the hiring of Mitchell is inexcusable. It’s on Eales.
  2. At least that’s GK sorted for this season, really happy for that next CB and CM please
  3. Does contacting the agent = tapping up the player? or how about the agent contact the club instead?
  4. I saw one source said that he has been given permission to do so by the club, but he has to report to team training when the teams back from Asia
  5. Yep, and Liverpool has absolutely no interest in Sesko.
  6. normally players would do so if they have 1-2 year left on their contract. The financial impact of 1 year suspension is too huge for any club to take. Isak, 3 years? No chance.
  7. In fact what he’s doing (training at Spain) further proves that Liverpool is unlikely to make a bid we would accept. He is in desperation mode and try to force a move asap. He knows what would happen if he failed to move after the transfer window.
  8. He won’t be allowed to go this summer, simply no chance, due to team needs and financial aspects. And Eddie won’t play him until he has changed his attitude. He is simply facing one year self-inflicted suspension. We have the cards, not him. Once he realize this he will evaluate his options again. Signing a new contract with a release clause (say 180m) is the way to go. Look at Gibbs-White. Once the player knows the move will not materialise they will change their stance. Just like what Eddies said, footballer life is short. If Isak knows the move to Liverpool is 100% dead, he will choose the take our money. This summer we ain’t short of PSR capacity, we don’t need to sell Isak first to bring in players. in fact it may even favour us to sell Isak next summer instead. I genuinely see no point selling now.
  9. not yet, only when Eddie said so. The only positive I can take from this summer is apparently PIF has total trust (if not over) on Eddie. If Eddie wants Isak to stay and get a new contract, PIF will listen.
  10. I expect him to sign a new contract after the end of the transfer window, together with Bruno and other purple patches we can’t get much players in anyway, why not just give them a pay rise and put an end to the current crisis? Yea I know it will impact our PSR headroom but right now it’s probably the best solution fuck the scousers
  11. that’s exactly the type of youngsters we should get. He basically ticks all the boxes for me, including more commercial revenue lol
  12. I don’t think PIF has no interest to develop the club or compete. However, they probably don’t know the club management basically did nothing for nearly two years. If you take a distant view, like you are just an outsider of this industry, it does look like the club is heading up and the only constraint is the PSR limit, which PIF is always willing to approve to spend to the limit. Furthermore, after Staveley left, Eales was probably the only contact point for PIF / the chairman. Certainly Eales won’t tell PIF issues like the hiring of Mitchell, the power struggle behind, and the other tiny stuff like contract handling etc. with due respect to his illness, a CEO failing to fulfill his duty was the main cause for our current crisis. You can also say PIFs hands-on approach also makes things worse. But then I am optimistic in the sense that this summer is a very good wake-up call for PIF: you either bring Staveley back or you need to change your approach and reporting structure

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Might as well just contact Real Madrid and ask for Rodrygo.
  14. Might be an unexpected gem for us.
  15. We even afraid of making changes in a friendly? Can’t be serious?
  16. This team is “K league all stars” which means these players ain’t trained together on a daily basis and they probably just have 1-2 training session for preparing this game this is embarrassing

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

One ST would do it. Isak won’t be allowed to go this summer in any case, since no club will submit an offer that is good enough. And we really should give Neave some chances to play. He has potential.
  18. The team is at South Korea so of course he isn’t training with the team?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I think those you mentioned are gone, given Howe stressed that the player has to come at the right price, which means we simply won’t pay higher than the value we offered.
  20. Given how things go quickly re Elanga and Ramsdale, versus all other targets this summer, we know this is a no-goer. Next please.
  21. It really depends on what you think about his days at Arsenal. I am very happy for a backup GK for 1 year at such a 4m cost. However if this is our long term answer than I would be disappointed.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

If you ain’t sure that you will play that player, and still go for it, and in the end really not good enough, you feel like you lost a gamble and so you won’t go ahead. Instead if you go and find someone that you are dead-sure you will play, then even if he is not good enough you would feel like you did your best already. In the past it’s not Howe that makes the final decision on transfer. Now he is. Honestly given Howe’s preference on always playing the best 11 players available, I ain’t surprised that he will only target those that can improve the starting 11. Ekitike is an exceptional case because he was going to replace Isak.
  23. nowadays agent always contact the other clubs directly and tell them the expected salary. We all know Isaks agent is the main driver behind.
